Cuatro cosas son pequeñas en la tierra, pero son sumamente sabias… y el lagarto, que se puede agarrar con las manos, pero está en los palacios de los reyes.

¿Se burlan de ti tus amigos o tu familia, a causa de tu estatura? Tal vez seas bajito o parezcas más joven de lo que eres. Quizás seas más alto que los demás niños de tu curso y sientas que siempre sobresales, pero no de un modo positivo. Cada niña y niño crecen a un ritmo distinto. Tu estatura o tu peso no hacen que seas más o menos valioso.
El tamaño no le importa a Dios. Piensa en el lagarto. Si eres lo suficientemente rápido puedes cazar uno que esté tomando el sol sobre una roca, y agarrarlo antes de que se escape. No parece muy cauteloso ni poderoso. Sin embargo, ese mismo lagarto puede abrirse camino en un palacio real fuertemente custodiado y de alta seguridad.
Dios puede usar algo tan pequeño como un lagarto para enseñarte acerca de la sabiduría, y algo tan grande como un león (v. 30) para instruirte sobre la fuerza.
Dios te creó tal como eres. Te usará independientemente de tu estatura y tu capacidad. No tienes más que acudir a él en busca de sabiduría, y él te hará entrar y salir de los lugares más inverosímiles.
Oración:
Jesús, no me gusta que se burlen de mí. ¿Me ayudarás a no preocuparme sobre este asunto y a no desear ser distinto a como tú me has hecho?
Day 20 – Size Does Not Matter
Four things on earth are small, yet they are extremely wise … A lizard can be caught with the hand, yet it is found in kings’ palaces.
(PROVERBS 30:24, 28)
Do friends or family tease you because of your size? Maybe you are short or look young for your age. Maybe you are bigger than all the other kids in your grade and feel like you always stand out—but not in a good way. Every girl and boy grows up at a different speed. Your height or weight doesn’t make you any more or less valuable.
Size doesn’t matter to God. Think about the lizard. If you are quick enough, you can catch one sunning on a rock and grab it before it gets away. It doesn’t seem very stealthy or powerful. But that same lizard can find its way into the most heavily guarded and highly secure king’s palace.
God can use something as small as a lizard to teach about wisdom and something as big as a lion (v. 30) to teach about strength.
God created you just the way you are. He will use you no matter your size and ability. Just turn to him for wisdom, and he’ll get you in and out of the most unlikely places.
Prayer Jesus, I don’t like being teased. Will you help me not to worry about it or wish I were different than how you made me?
