¿Quieres crecer más? Empieza a pensar como Jesús. Él consideró a los demás y no solo a sí mismo. Parte de llegar a ser más maduro consiste en saber más de la Biblia y de lo que significa. Pero esta no es toda la historia. La madurez incluye tu conducta y tu carácter. Tus creencias deben ir respaldadas por un comportamiento como el de Cristo.
El cristianismo trata de las relaciones —con Dios y con los demás— y de tu forma de vivir. Pensar en los demás es la mejor prueba de crecimiento. ¿Cómo piensas en los demás? Consideras cómo afectan tus palabras y tus actos a otras personas. ¿Aquello que dices muestra amor o insultos? ¿Mostrarán tus actos que te preocupan los demás o que eres egoísta? Esta forma de pensar es escasa y difícil. Afortunadamente contamos con la ayuda del Espíritu Santo y el ejemplo de Jesús. Pídele al Espíritu Santo que guíe tus pensamientos y lee los evangelios para ver cómo trataba Jesús a los demás.
Oración
Espíritu Santo, guíame en mi caminar con Jesús. Quiero madurar, pensar y actuar como Cristo con aquellos que me rodean, pero necesito tu dirección.
Day 199 • Thinking of Others
We should think of their good and try to help them by doing what pleases them. Even Christ did not try to please himself.

Want to be more grown up? Start thinking like Jesus. He considered others, not just himself. Part of becoming more mature is knowing more of the Bible and what it means. But that’s not the whole story. Maturity includes your behavior and character. Your beliefs must be backed up with Christ-like behavior.
Christianity is all about relationships—with God and others—and how you live. Thinking of others is the best proof of growth. How do you think of others? You consider how your words and actions will affect others. Will what you say show love or insult? Will what you do show that you care or that you are selfish? This kind of thinking is rare and difficult. Fortunately, we have help from the Holy Spirit and the example of Jesus. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide your thoughts, and read the gospels to see how Jesus treated others.
Prayer
Holy Spirit, guide me in my walk with Jesus. I want to mature and think and act Christ-like to those around me, but I need your direction.
