El cuerpo humano tiene muchas partes, pero las muchas partes forman un cuerpo entero. Lo mismo sucede con el cuerpo de Cristo. (1 CORINTIOS 12.12, NTV)
Para que los órganos de tu cuerpo funcionen de forma correcta, deben estar conectados a tu cuerpo. No puedes dejar tu cerebro o tu estómago en casa todo el día. Si se corta un órgano de su cuerpo, de alguna manera, se secará y morirá. No puede existir por sí solo ni tú tampoco como parte del Cuerpo de Cristo.
Fuiste creado para un papel específico en la vida. Descubres cuál es a través de las relaciones con los demás. Si estás desconectado y cortado de otros cristianos, tu fe se secará.
La Biblia declara que un cristiano sin iglesia (un grupo de creyentes) es como un órgano sin cuerpo, una oveja sin rebaño o un niño sin familia. No es natural. Cuando nos juntamos en amor, como una familia eclesial de distintos trasfondos, razas y estatus social, actuamos como el Cuerpo de Cristo y llevaremos su mensaje de gracia y amor al mundo.
Oración
Señor, sé que he sido creado para un papel especial en tu comunidad de creyentes. Gracias por esta familia eclesial diversa en la que puedo adorarte y servirte. Ayúdame a permanecer conectado a los demás y a ti.
Day 171 • Better Together
The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ.
(1 CORINTHIANS 12:12, NLT)
For the organs of your body to work right, they must be connected to your body. You can’t leave your brain or stomach at home all day. If an organ is somehow severed from its body, it will shrivel and die. It cannot exist on its own, and neither can you as a part of the Body of Christ.
You were created for a specific role in life. You discover what that is through your relationships with others. If you are disconnected and cut off from other Christians, your faith will wither away.
The Bible says a Christian without a church (a group of believers) is like an organ without a body, a sheep without a flock, or a child without a family. It is unnatural. When we come together in love as a church family from different backgrounds, races, and social status, we act as Christ’s Body and bring his message of grace and love to the world.
Prayer
God, I know I am created for a special role in your community of believers. Thank you for such a diverse church family in which I can worship and serve you. Help me stay connected to others and you.
