La próxima vez que estés en la parte superior de un edificio alto o volando en avión, mira hacia abajo para ver si puedes percibir cualquier cosa que esté en la superficie. Todo está tan lejano. Si tuvieras que escalar un monte que te hace adentrarte en las nubes, estas no estarían ni a mitad de camino del cielo. ¡Es un camino muy largo! El borde del espacio se encuentra a entre ochenta y ciento doce kilómetros de la tierra (los científicos están intentando descubrir exactamente dónde acaba la atmósfera y dónde empieza el espacio). El amor de Dios es así de grande; en realidad es aún más grande. Piensa en la persona más paciente y amorosa que conozcas. Ahora imagina que esa persona fuera diez veces más amorosa y paciente.
El amor de Dios es aún mayor que eso. Él espera y espera. Perdona y perdona. Ama, ama y ama. La próxima vez que alces tus ojos al cielo o mires desde un avión, dale gracias a Dios por su amor grande y extraordinario.

Señor, gracias por tu asombroso y enorme amor por mí y por todas las personas que están en el mundo. No lo entiendo por completo, pero quiero experimentarlo y mostrárselo a los demás.
Day 163 • Deep and Wide
The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love … For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him.
(PSALM 103:8, 11)
The next time you are at the top of a tall building or flying in an airplane, look down to see if you can see anything on the ground. Everything below is so far away. If you were to hike a mountain that put you into the clouds, the clouds wouldn’t even be halfway to the heavens. That’s a long way! The edge of space is fifty to seventy miles from Earth (scientists are trying to figure out exactly where the atmosphere ends and space begins).
God’s love is that big—actually, it’s bigger. Think about the most patient, loving person you know. Now imagine if that person were ten times more loving and patient. God’s love is even greater than that. He waits and he waits. He forgives and he forgives. He loves and he loves and he loves. The next time you look up to the sky or down from a plane, thank God for his great big love.

God, thank you for your amazing, massive love for me and for everyone in the world. I don’t completely understand it, but I want to experience it and show it to others.
