Porque en El fueron creadas todas las cosas, tanto en los cielos como en la tierra, visibles e invisibles… todo ha sido creado por medio de El y para El. (COLOSENSES 1.16, LBLA)
Una vez me perdí en las montañas. Cuando me detuve y pedí indicaciones para llegar al lugar de acampada, alguien me dijo: «Desde aquí no puedes llegar allí. ¡Tienes que empezar a caminar desde el otro lado del monte!». Ocurre más o menos lo mismo cuando intentamos entender para qué fin hemos sido creados. No puedes descubrir el propósito de tu vida si comienzas por ti mismo. Sería como vagar por el lado equivocado del monte. Tienes que comenzar desde Dios mismo, tu Creador.
Fuiste hecho por y para Dios, de modo que tu propósito no tiene que ver contigo. El significado de tu vida es mucho mayor que tu propia felicidad, tu familia y hasta tus sueños más descabellados. Si quieres saber por qué has sido colocado en este planeta, debes empezar por Dios.
En él puedes descubrir tu identidad, tu significado y tu destino. Cualquier otra senda conduce a un callejón sin salida.
Oración:
Quiero saber por qué me creaste, Señor, y sé que solo puedo encontrar la razón a través de ti. Mantenme centrado en ti en lugar de en mí mismo.
Day 07 • Start Here
For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible … all things have been created through him and for him.
(COLOSSIANS 1:16)
I once got lost in the mountains. When I stopped to ask for directions to the campsite, someone told me, “You can’t get there from here. You must start from the other side of the mountain!” It’s kind of the same with trying to figure out who you were made to be. You cannot find your life’s purpose by starting with yourself. That would be like wandering around on the wrong side of the mountain. You must begin with God, your Creator.
You were made by God and for God, so your purpose is not about you. The meaning of your life is far greater than your own happiness, your family, or even your wildest dreams. If you want to know why you were placed on this planet, you must begin with God.
In God, you can find your identity, your meaning, and your destiny. Every other path leads to a dead end.
Prayer:
I want to know why you created me, God, and I know I can only find that through you. Keep my focus on you rather than on myself.
