¿Te has hecho alguna vez las siguientes preguntas? ¿Qué quiero ser cuando sea mayor? ¿Qué debería hacer con mi vida?
¿Cuáles son mis sueños?
Buscar el sentido de la vida es algo que ha desconcertado al ser humano durante miles de años. Las personas quieren saber por qué están aquí en la tierra y si tienen alguna importancia. Sin embargo, la verdad es que centrarte en ti mismo no te revelará las respuestas.
No te creaste tú mismo. Por tanto, ¿cómo podrías saber para qué fuiste hecho? Si yo te entregara un invento que no hubieras visto antes, no intuirías cuál es su función. Y el dispositivo en sí no podría explicártelo tampoco. Solo quien ha elaborado el manual del usuario podría darte las respuestas.
Dios es nuestro Creador, y la Biblia es su manual. Nos puso aquí en la tierra por una razón: para que le amemos a él y también a los demás. Si le preguntamos a Dios y leemos su Palabra, descubriremos la forma exacta en que deberíamos hacerlo.
Oración:
Señor, muéstrame cómo puedo amarte mejor a ti y a los que me rodean. Enséñame quién quieres que yo sea.
Day 01 • The Big Question
It is God who directs the lives of his creatures; everyone’s life is in his power.
(JOB 12:10 TEV)
Do you ever wonder: What do I want to be when I grow up? What should I do with my life? What are my dreams? The search for the meaning of life has puzzled people for thousands of years. People want to know why they are here on Earth and if they matter. But the truth is, focusing on yourself will not reveal the answers.
You didn’t create yourself. So how could you know what you were created for? If I handed you an invention you had never seen before, you wouldn’t know what it was supposed to do. And the invention itself wouldn’t be able to tell you either. Only the creator or the owner’s manual could tell you the answers.
God is our Creator, and the Bible is his manual. He put us here on Earth for a reason—to love him and love others. If we ask God and read his Word, we’ll find out exactly how we should do that.
Prayer:
God, show me how I can love you better and love others around me. Show me who you want me to be.
