Inclinad vuestro oído, y venid a mí; oíd, y vivirá vuestra alma. ISAÍAS 55:3
Puede que usted sea alguien que ora mucho. Tal vez tenga una lista de personas por las cuales intercede. Del mismo modo, habla con el Padre acerca de sus sentimientos, haciéndole saber todo lo que le molesta. Sin embargo, quizás todavía falte algo en su relación con Él. No se siente cerca del Señor, no percibe que la sabiduría divina lo guíe, ni cree que el poder divino de resurrección alimente su obediencia a Dios. ¿Por qué?
La respuesta es sencilla. Todos tenemos amigos que hablan tanto que no nos dejan hablar. Incluso cuando nos preguntan algo, casi ni se detienen y empiezan otra serie de ideas. Desdichadamente, así es como la mayoría de nosotros somos con Dios. Hablamos y no nos detenemos a escuchar. Podemos preguntarle sobre su voluntad o pedirle que nos dé sabiduría, pero por lo general no le damos mucho tiempo para responder antes de darle nuestra opinión de lo que Él debería hacer.
Pero si usted quiere conocer de veras a alguien, escúchelo; y eso se aplica el doble para con Dios. Cada palabra del Señor tiene significado e influencia. Él no habla simplemente para ser oído, sino que pronuncia las mismas palabras de vida que transformarán su vida completa de adentro hacia afuera. Así que deténgase y escuche lo que Dios tiene que decirle.

Jesús, llego ante ti para escuchar.
Habla, Señor, y te obedeceré. Amén.
STOP AND LISTEN
Incline your ear and come to Me. Listen, that you may live. ISAIAH 55:3
You may be a person who prays a great deal. Perhaps you have a list of people you intercede for. Likewise, you share your heart with the Father—letting Him know everything that’s bothering you. Yet something is still missing from your relationship with Him. You don’t feel close to Him, sense His wisdom guiding your steps, or feel His resurrection power fueling your obedience to Him. Why?
The answer is simple. We all have friends who talk so much that we can never get a word in. Even when they ask us questions, they barely pause before they’re off on another train of thought. Sadly, that’s how most of us are with God. We talk and don’t stop to listen. Oh, we may ask Him about His will or to give us wisdom, but we usually don’t give Him much time to respond before we’re giving Him our opinion of what He should do.
But if you really want to know someone, you have to listen—and that goes double for God. God’s every word has meaning and impact. He does not speak merely to be heard. He speaks the very words of life that will absolutely transform you from the inside out. So stop and hear what He has to say.

Jesus, I come before You to listen. Speak, Lord, and I will obey. Amen.
