Lucas 5:36-39
Les dijo también una parábola: Nadie corta un pedazo de un vestido nuevo y lo pone en un vestido viejo; pues si lo hace, no solamente rompe el nuevo, sino que el remiendo sacado de él no armoniza con el viejo.
Y nadie echa vino nuevo en odres viejos; de otra manera, el vino nuevo romperá los odres y se derramará, y los odres se perderán. Mas el vino nuevo en odres nuevos se ha de echar; y lo uno y lo otro se conservan. Y ninguno que beba del añejo, quiere luego el nuevo; porque dice: El añejo es mejor.
Si anhelamos algo nuevo del Espíritu Santo en este año hay una gran verdad que debemos poner en práctica a partir de ahora: DEBEMOS RENOVARNOS.
Cuando Jesús habla del “vino nuevo” hace referencia al Espíritu Santo y los odres son las personas, somos cada uno de nosotros. ¿Qué tipo de odre quieres ser? A continuación algunas diferencias para que sepas elegir el lado correcto:
1 ODRES VIEJOS:
Un odre viejo hace referencia a una persona que aún no ha nacido de nuevo, que está llena de preocupaciones y pensamientos, que vive pensando en los afanes de esta vida y no ha puesto su confianza completa en Dios.
Un odre viejo es alguien que ha aprendido a descansar en Dios y no ha puesto su fe completa en Jesús; un odre viejo es alguien que sabe de Dios pero no sabe quién es; un odre viejo es alguien que anhela la presencia de Dios pero su propia naturaleza le impide encontrarlo; un odre viejo es alguien cuya mente no ha sido renovada y mantiene aún pensamientos de duda, temor, inseguridad, incredulidad, inmundicia, etc.
Un odre viejo es alguien que no ha podido entender la palabra de Dios, que ora todo el tiempo pero parece no recibir respuesta, que clama por la presencia de Dios pero tanto ruido de su mente impide que pueda escuchar la voz de Dios. Es alguien que anhela ver la gloria de Dios pero no tiene fe y por tanto no puede verla.
Un odre viejo se encuentra constantemente luchando contra sí mismo, se encuentra cansado todo el tiempo, se siente culpable por no hacer lo suficiente, es hipocondriaco, depresivo, bipolar, temeroso y cobarde.
Un odre viejo es una persona que sabe el camino de la libertad pero no se ha decidido a seguirlo.
Un odre viejo es alguien que es cristiano pero sigue un evangelio de condenación, que no entiende el pacto de la gracia, del amor de Dios.
¿Quieres seguir con esta actitud? ¿Quieres ser como una hoja llevada por cualquier viento? ¿Quieres ser alguien que no es firme ni constante? ¿Quieres seguir siendo alguien que no termina los proyectos que comienza? ¿Quieres seguir anhelando una libertad que ya tienes al alcance de tus manos? ¿Quieres seguir siendo dos personas viviendo en un mismo ser? Yo te invito a que sigamos un camino mejor:
2 ODRES NUEVOS:
Un odre nuevo es todo lo contrario a lo que mencionamos previamente. Es alguien que entiende la Palabra de Dios y la pone en práctica, es alguien que conoce el camino de la libertad y tiene la fuerza suficiente para creer y seguirlo; es alguien que ha encontrado fuerzas en Dios y que ha reconocido que no puede tener todo bajo control sino que necesita de la ayuda
de Dios.
Un odre nuevo es alguien que ha puesto su confianza en Dios, es alguien que ha decidido confiar por completo en Dios y dejarse guiar por su palabra.
Un odre nuevo es aquel que es verdaderamente libre porque ha conocido la verdad.
Un odre nuevo es aquel que ha creído en Dios y en Jesús, su hijo, y ha sido renovado por el Espíritu Santo para ser un nuevo ser y haber recibido un nuevo nacimiento.
Un odre nuevo es aquel que ha decidido negarse a todo lo viejo que lo contaminaba y ha decidido ser una nueva persona que está dispuesta a recibir lo nuevo de Dios.
Un odre nuevo es aquel que ya no tiene miedo en su corazón, es aquel que ha encontrado el camino de la vida y lo sigue, es aquel que ha hallado descanso y paz en Dios.
Un odre nuevo es aquel que se ha hecho como un niño, dejando atrás todas sus cargas y temores, y dejando su vida en las manos de Dios. Es aquel que ha aprendido a depender de Dios y a saber que Él es fiel para cuidarlo; es aquel que ha sabido poner su confianza en Dios.
Un odre nuevo es como un niño: humilde, curioso, sincero, agradecido, capaz de perdonar, capaz de olvidar, capaz de divertirse, capaz de descansar, capaz de amar.
Recordemos las palabras de Jesús: “y dijo: De cierto os digo, que si no os volvéis y os hacéis como niños, no entraréis en el reino de los cielos.” Mateo 18:3 Hazte como un niño pequeño, Decídete a confiar y a depender por completo de Dios, Anímate a creer en Él, en su Palabra y en su Poder. Serás renovado, serás una nueva persona y recibirás las cosas nuevas que Dios tiene para ti, esto es, su Espíritu Santo.
ORACIÓN
Bendito Espíritu Santo queremos ser renovados por tu poder, ser moldeados por tu palabra ,ser transformados por el poder de tu amor ; queremos ser esas nuevas vasijas para recibir de tu nuevo vino; Vino embriagante que nos hace conocerte mas , ser íntimos contigo , queremos ser como niños en tu presencia y tener nuestra confianza plena en ti ;
Ven y llénanos por completo en el nombre de Jesús , Amen!
We must renew ourselves
He told them this parable: “No one tears a piece out of a new garment to patch an old one. Otherwise, they will have torn the new garment, and the patch from the new will not match the old. 37 And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the new wine will burst the skins; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. 38 No, new wine must be poured into new wineskins. 39 And no one after drinking old wine wants the new, for they say, ‘The old is better.” Luke 5:36-39
There’s a great truth we must put into practice from now on if we long for something new from the Holy Spirit this year. That is to, RENEW OURSELVES.
When Jesus speaks of “new wine” he refers to the Holy Spirit and the wineskins are each one of us, the people. What kind of wineskin do you want to be? Here are some examples to help you choose the correct one.
1. OLD WINESKINS
An old wineskin refers to a person who has not yet been born again. A person full of worries and doubts, who lives thinking about the burdens of life and has not put his complete trust in God.
An old wineskin is someone who has learned to rest in God but has not put his full faith in Jesus. An old wineskin is someone who knows about God, but does not know who he is. It is someone who longs for the presence of God but his own nature prevents him from finding him. It is someone whose mind has not been renewed and still has thoughts of doubt, fear, insecurity, unbelief, filth, etc.
An old wineskin is someone who has not been able to understand the word of God, who prays all the time but seems to receive no answer, who cries out for the presence of God but the loud noise in his mind prevents him from hearing the voice of God. He is someone who longs to see the glory of God but does not have faith and therefore cannot see it.
An old wineskin is constantly struggling with themselves, they’re tired all the time, feel guilty about not doing enough. They’re hypochondriac, depressed, bipolar, fearful and uncourageous.
An old wineskin is a person who knows the path of freedom but has not decided to follow it.
An old wineskin is someone who is a Christian but follows a gospel of condemnation, who does not
understand the covenant of grace, of God’s love.
Do you want to continue with this attitude? Do you want to be like a leaf carried away by the wind? Do you want to be someone who is not firm or constant? Do you want to continue being someone who does not finish the projects that you start? Do you want to continue yearning for a freedom that you already have at your fingertips? Do you want to continue being two people living in the same being?
I invite you to follow a better path.
2. NEW WINESKINS
A new wineskin is the complete opposite of what we mentioned previously. He is someone who understands the word of God and puts it into practice, he is someone who knows the path of freedom and has the strength to believe and follow it. Someone who has found strength in God and who has recognized that he cannot have everything under control but that he needs God’s help.
A new wineskin is someone who has put their trust in God, it is someone who has decided to trust God completely and let himself be guided by his word.
A new wineskin is one that is truly free because they’ve known the truth.
A new wineskin is one that has believed in God and in Jesus, his son, and has been renewed by the Holy Spirit to be a new being and has received a new birth.
A new wineskin is one that has decided to deny all the old that contaminated it and has decided to be a new person willing to receive something new from God.
A new wineskin is one that no longer has fear in its heart, it is one that has found the path of life and follows it, it is one that has found rest and peace in God.
A new wineskin is one that has been made like a child, leaving behind all its burdens and fears, and leaving its life in the hands of God. He is the one who has learned to depend on God and knows that he is faithful to take care of him. It is someone who has learned to put his trust in God.
A new wineskin is like a child: humble, curious, sincere, grateful, capable of forgiving, capable of forgetting, capable of having fun, capable of resting, capable of loving. Let us remember the words of Jesus when he said, And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18:3
Be like a little child, decide to trust and depend completely on God. Dare to believe in Him, in His Word and in His Power. You will be renewed, you will be a new person and you will receive the new things that God has for you, that is, his Holy Spirit.
PRAYER;
Blessed Holy Spirit we want to be renewed by your power and be molded by your word. We want to be transformed by the power of your love and be those new vessels that receive your new wine. That exhilarating wine lets us know you better and be intimate with you. We want to be like children in your presence and have our full trust in you; come fill us completely in Jesus name, Amen!
