Como seres humanos y más como cristianos, tenemos que reconocer nuestro enemigo número 1, es el orgullo.
La palabra “vanagloria” significa: gloria “vana”, o sea, sin valor, es decir, la gloria que una persona dice tener, en realidad no vale nada ante Dios u otras personas.
Como vimos desde el principio, el ayuno es un acto hermoso e íntimo entre el Padre y tú. No nos debemos jactar de ser muy espirituales por ayunar, pues sabemos que eso no vale nada sin obediencia.
El que nosotros ayunemos nos hace más sencible a lo espiritual, nos acerca a Dios y es más fácil permanecer en sus caminos. Pero CUIDADO que eso no infle nuestro pecho de orgullo.
Si no le damos valor a lo que realmente importa: “Que es atesorar todo lo que el Espíritu da”. Nunca entenderemos el verdadero significado del ayuno, ni para qué hacerlo.
Pídele al espíritu santo que te muestre el orgullo, la vanagloria, antipatía, amargura, etc.. que tienes en tu corazón, leer la biblia es muy importante en todo este tiempo, ya que la palabra limpia y purifica .
Efesios 5:26
para santificarla, habiéndola purificado por el lavamiento del agua con la palabra.
Prepárate en el río del Señor, te purificará y limpiará, de adentro para que des fruto hacia fuera.
Oración:
Amado Jesús, derrama de las vertientes del río de tu presencia inundando nuestro interior, lavando toda inmundicia, limpiando el orgullo, la vanagloria y toda raíz de amargura que nos separa de ti, santificanos en tu palabra para dar frutos de bien, en el nombre de Jesús, Amén!
Beware of pride
As human beings and further more as Christians, we have to recognize our number 1 enemy, which is pride.
The word “vainglory” means: “vain” glory, that is, without value, that is, the glory that a person claims to have, in reality is worth nothing before God or other people.
As we saw from the beginning, fasting is a beautiful and intimate act between you and the Father. We should not boast of being overly spiritual by fasting, for we know that it is worthless without obedience.
The fact that we fast makes us more sensitive to the spiritual, it brings us closer to God and it is easier to stay in his ways. But BEWARE that this does not inflate our chest with pride.
If we do not value what really matters: “Which is to treasure all that the Spirit gives”. We will never understand the true meaning of fasting, or why we do it.
Ask the holy spirit to show you the pride, antipathy, bitterness, etc. that you have in your heart, reading the Bible is very important in all this time, since the word cleanses and purifies.
Ephesians 5:26
to sanctify it, having purified it by the washing of the water with the word.
Prepare yourself in the river of the Lord, it will purify and cleanse you, from the inside so that you can bear fruit on the outside.
Prayer:
Beloved Jesus, pour out your presence from the banks of the river, flooding our interior, washing away all filth, cleansing pride and every root of bitterness that separates us from you, sanctify us in your word to bear fruit of good, in the name of Jesus, Amen!
