Ayer leímos que el Señor es digno de confianza porque es infinito en sabiduría. El problema para nosotros reside en que, aunque Dios entiende perfectamente todas las situaciones que vivimos, no está obligado a informarnos los motivos de sus acciones o decisiones, y eso puede ser frustrante.
Por ejemplo, Dios no aclaró por qué dejó a José en prisión durante trece años antes de promoverlo al puesto de primer ministro (Génesis 39—41). Tampoco explicó por qué los israelitas tuvieron que vivir más de cuatro siglos en la esclavitud egipcia antes de rescatarlos milagrosamente (Éxodo 12:41).
Aunque es posible que nunca conozcamos del todo las razones de Dios, la falta de esa información casi siempre estimula nuestros sentimientos de frustración, ansiedad y duda. Sin embargo, aquí es donde aparece la fe: debemos creer que nos recompensará cuando lo busquemos (Hebreos 11:6), comprendiendo que no tenemos motivos legítimos para dudar de Él. Él es el Dios infinito y omnisciente que nos ama y siempre sabe cuál es el mejor camino que debemos tomar. Nuestra responsabilidad es reconocerlo como tal, aun cuando nos guíe paso a paso.

When We Don’t Know
In paths they do not know I will guide them. I will make darkness into light before them and rugged places into plains.
ISAIAH 42:16
Yesterday we read that the Lord is trustworthy because He is infinite in wisdom. The problem for us is that while God completely understands every situation we experience, He is under no obligation to inform us of the rationale for His actions or decisions—and that can be frustrating.
For example, God did not make clear why He left Joseph in prison for thirteen years before elevating him to the position of prime minister (Genesis 39–41). Nor did He explain why the Israelites had to live more than four centuries in Egyptian bondage before He miraculously rescued them (Exodus 12:41).
While we may never fully know God’s reasons, lack of such information is often the very thing that leads to our feelings of frustration, anxiety, and doubt. However, this is the place of faith—we must believe He will reward us as we seek Him (Hebrews 11:6), understanding that we have no legitimate cause for doubting Him. He is the infinite, all-wise God who loves us and always knows the best path to take in our lives. Our responsibility is to acknowledge Him as such, even as He leads us step-by-step.
