Cercano está el Señor a los quebrantados de corazón, Y salva a los abatidos de espíritu.
Salmo 34:18
Espíritu abatido es aquel que ha perdido toda esperanza de vida, es aquel que está hastiado de buscar una solución y no encantarla, es aquel que está seco y muriendo de sed.
El hombre de espíritu abatido, es aquel que cree que no existe solución para su opresión, el hombre de espíritu abatido es aquel que ha decidido hacer de la apatía su pan de cada día. Ese hombre está encarcelado en un sin número de pesares imaginarios, y todos sus miedos e inseguridades le esperan cada día al abrir sus ojos.
Es interesante ver como para Dios varios conceptos son diferentes a lo que nosotros pensamos. A nuestro entender natural, un espíritu quebrantado es débil, tu espíritu puede estar abatido, pero para Dios, un espíritu quebrantado es el terreno perfecto para que Él muestre su fuerza y obre en nuestras vidas.
Un espíritu quebrantado es indispensable para seducir y atraer a Dios a tu vida. Tener un espíritu quebrantado es ser una persona dócil, humilde, que reconoce su necesidad de Dios, que acepta sus errores, no es terco ni testarudo, es una persona que escucha, se deja moldear por Dios y rinde su voluntad, y es ahí donde Dios puede mostrar su fortaleza.
Este espíritu es uno de los más contrarios a nuestra carne, pues por naturaleza somos orgullosos, llevados a nuestro parecer y autosuficientes. Es por eso que a Dios le atrae tanto este espíritu y dice su palabra que “no lo rechaza”, pues llega al fondo de su corazón y es muy apreciado por Él.
Necesitamos tener un espíritu quebrantado para amar a Dios y a otros, para saber cuándo nos hemos desviado y volver a Dios. Necesitamos un espíritu quebrantado para adquirir sabiduría, para crecer, para entender y hacer la voluntad de Dios. Necesitamos un espíritu quebrantado para no caer en el orgullo, soledad y autosuficiencia, para aprender de otros, para aceptar los cambios, para romper nuestros moldes, ideas y costumbres, necesitamos un espíritu quebrantado para ser como Jesús.
Jesús en el monte de los olivos, sudando sangre y rindiendo su voluntad es el mayor ejemplo de un espíritu quebrantado, y fue este mismo espíritu el que lo llevó a ser obediente hasta la muerte y ahora estar exaltado, sentado a la diestra del padre. Un espíritu quebrantado te fortalece y prepara para la voluntad de Dios.

Es tiempo de reconocer que debemos siempre mantener un espíritu humillado a Dios.
– Toma un tiempo para pedirle perdón a Dios por tu espíritu y corazón endurecido. Confiésalo como pecado.
– Ahora pide a Dios que te dé un espíritu quebrantado.
– Has una lista de situaciones o relaciones en las que te comprometes a morir para que crezca Dios.
Oración:
Espíritu Santo te pedimos perdón por tener un corazón endurecido, insensible y apático, hoy nos rendimos a tus pies mi Señor con un corazón humillado ante ti, reconociendo que dependemos de ti para cada paso en nuestras vidas, morimos hoy y por siempre para que crezcas en nosotros por tu poder, en el nombre de Jesús, ¡Amén!
Dejected and Broken Heart
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and he saves the dejected in spirit.
Psalm 34:18
The dejected Spirit is the one who has lost all hope of life, he is the one who is tired of looking for a solution and not enchanting it, he is the one who is dry and dying of thirst.
The man of dejected spirit is the one who believes that there is no solution to his oppression, the man of dejected spirit is the one who has decided to make apathy his daily bread. That man is imprisoned in a number of imaginary sorrows, and all his fears and insecurities await him every day when he opens his eyes.
It is interesting to see how for God several concepts are different from what we think. In our natural understanding, a broken spirit is weak, your spirit may be dejected, but for God, a broken spirit is the perfect ground for Him to show His strength and work in our lives.
A broken spirit is indispensable to seduce and attract God into your life. To have a broken spirit is to be a docile, humble person, who recognizes his need for God, who accepts his mistakes, is not stubborn or stubborn, is a person who listens, allows himself to be shaped by God and surrenders his will, and that is where God can show his strength.
This spirit is one of the most contrary to our flesh, for by nature we are proud, driven in our own mind and self-sufficient. That is why God is so attracted to this spirit and says his word that “he does not reject it”, because it reaches the bottom of his heart and is very appreciated by Him.
We need to have a broken spirit to love God and others, to know when we have strayed and return to God. We need a broken spirit to acquire wisdom, to grow, to understand and do God’s will. We need a broken spirit so as not to fall into pride, loneliness and self-sufficiency, to learn from others, to accept changes, to break our molds, ideas and customs, we need a broken spirit to be like Jesus.
Jesus on the mount of olives, sweating blood and surrendering his will is the greatest example of a broken spirit, and it was this same spirit that led him to be obedient unto death and now to be exalted, seated at the right hand of the father. A broken spirit strengthens you and prepares you for God’s will.

It is time to recognize that we must always keep a spirit humbled to God.
Take some time to ask God for forgiveness for your hardened spirit and heart. Confess it as a sin.
– Now ask God to give you a broken spirit.
– Make a list of situations or relationships in which you commit to die so that God grows.
Prayer:
Holy Spirit we ask your forgiveness for having a hardened, insensitive and apathetic heart, today we surrender to your feet my Lord with a humbled heart before you, recognizing that we depend on you for every step in our lives, we die today and forever so that you grow in us by your power, in the name of Jesus, Amen!
