El Señor dice: «Yo te instruiré, yo te mostraré el camino que debes seguir; yo te daré consejos y velaré por ti». SALMO 32:8
Si alguna vez has tomado de la mano a un niño pequeño, habrás notado cómo se aferraba a ti para equilibrarse. Y, si tropezaba, te era fácil mantenerle en pie. Con este sencillo acto de sujetarle la mano, tanto tú como el niño tienen la confianza de que el pequeño no va a darse de bruces.
Del mismo modo, cuando nos comprometemos a seguir el camino de Dios, lo que estamos haciendo es, básicamente, tomarle de la mano. A él le encanta el hecho de que caminemos con él. Incluso en los momentos en los que tropezamos, él nos sujetará con firmeza y nos infundirá la confianza necesaria para seguir andando.
Oración:
Señor, he tropezado y a veces ando con paso inseguro en mi caminar contigo. Dame la confianza de que a ti te encanta mi compromiso, aunque este a veces pueda ser a trompicones. Acepto tu mano y sigo andando, confiando en que tú evitarás que yo caiga.
Ordered Steps
I will instruct you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. PSALM 32:8
If you’ve ever taken the hand of a toddler, you’ll know that they are relying on you for their balance. If they stumble, you can easily steady them. This simple act of holding a hand means that you and the child have confidence that they won’t fall flat on their face!
In the same way, when we commit our way to God, we are essentially placing our hand in his. He delights in the fact that we are walking with him. Even in the times when we stumble, he will steady our path and give us the confidence to keep walking.
Prayer:
Lord, I have stumbled and am sometimes unsure of my walk with you. Give me confidence of your delight in my commitment even though it can be shaky. I accept your hand and continue to walk, trusting you to keep me from falling.
