Salmos 25:3a
“Nadie que confíe en ti será jamás avergonzado.”
Esperar es difícil, especialmente si esperamos que Dios conteste nuestras oraciones o nos guíe de alguna manera específica. Esto lo agrava el hecho de que vivimos en una sociedad que insiste en resultados inmediatos: comida rápida, envío nocturno, recursos descargables e información al alcance de las manos. Si lo que esperamos no ocurre rápidamente, a menudo nos frustramos y nos sentimos tentados a renunciar y alejarnos. No obstante, experimentar la plenitud de la voluntad de Dios no es algo que ocurre de inmediato. Ver revelado el plan divino lleva tiempo, a menudo toda una vida. Dios puede darnos una idea de cuál es su voluntad, pero necesitamos la experiencia de una devoción gradual para descubrir el propósito completo que nos tiene. La verdad es que la misericordia y compasión de Dios limitan aquello que Él nos revela, con el fin de que no nos abrume el desánimo, el temor o, peor aún, el orgullo. Amigo lector, en este momento no necesita conocer todo el plan. Cuando Dios le muestre que dé un paso, simplemente obedézcale. Avance en fe. A medida que confíe en el Señor, Él le dará lo que más anhela: la dirección de Dios en un futuro brillante y satisfactorio.
Oración:
Mi amado Jesús, ayudanos en nuestra humanidad para esperar el cumplimiento de tus promesas y no entrar en ansiedad que nos llevaría a un destino incierto; que en el tiempo de espera nuestra fe no decaiga y aunque nuestros ojos naturales aun no puedan ver el milagro; nuestros ojos de la fe permanezcan anclados en tu verdad, porque aquel que confía en ti nunca quedará avergonzado, en el nombre de Jesús, Amén!
Walk in faith
Psalm 25: 3a
“No one who trusts you will ever be ashamed.”
Waiting is difficult, especially if we expect God to answer our prayers or guide us in some specific way. This is compounded by the fact that we live in a society that insists on immediate results: fast food, overnight shipping, downloadable resources, and information at our fingertips. If what we expect doesn’t happen quickly, we often get frustrated and tempted to give up and walk away. However, experiencing the fullness of God’s will does not happen immediately. Seeing the divine plan revealed takes time, often a lifetime. God can give us an idea of what his will is, but we need the experience of gradual devotion to discover his full purpose for us. The truth is that God’s mercy and compassion limit what He reveals to us, so that we are not overwhelmed by discouragement, fear, or worse yet, pride. Dear reader, at this time you do not need to know the whole plan. When God shows you to take a step, just obey Him. Advance in faith. As you trust in the Lord, He will give you what you want most – God’s direction in a bright and fulfilling future.
Prayer:
My beloved Jesus, help us in our humanity to wait for the fulfillment of your promises and not to enter into anxiety that would lead us to an uncertain destiny; that in the waiting time our faith does not decline and even though our natural eyes still cannot see the miracle; our eyes of faith remain anchored in your truth, because he who trusts in you will never be ashamed, in the name of Jesus, Amen!
