¿Me cuesta creer que soy hermosa a los ojos de Dios?
¿Alguna vez has regresado a casa de la escuela llorando porque eligieron a otra niña como capitana del equipo de porristas o capitana del equipo de baloncesto? ¿Alguna vez has sentido celos de que otra chica fuera coronada reina del baile cuando pensabas que te lo merecías más? ¿Qué tal si regresas a casa de la escuela llorando porque una de tus amigas ahora tiene novio? No ser elegida para equipos individuales o no tener novio cuando otras chicas lo tienen puede doler mucho cuando eres adolescente. Pero sigues siendo hermosa a tu manera.
Eres absolutamente hermosa, sin importar cómo te vean los demás en la escuela o en el equipo deportivo. Incluso si aún no tienes novio, Dios no ve nada malo en ti. Incluso si no fuiste elegido para el puesto que querías en la escuela o en el equipo deportivo, Dios aún te elige. Él te ve como su amada hija. ¡Tu padre celestial no encuentra ningún defecto ni defecto en ti! ¿No es asombroso? Ninguna opinión de nadie sobre ti importa tanto como la opinión de Dios sobre ti.
La próxima vez que tengas dificultades con la belleza interior, puedes decir esta oración: “Señor, gracias por recordarme que soy hermosa y elegida a tus ojos. Gracias porque no ves ningún defecto o defecto en mí”.

Do I struggle to believe that I’m beautiful in God’s eyes?
Have you ever come home from school crying because another girl got picked as the cheerleading squad captain or the basketball team captain? Have you ever been jealous that another girl was crowned homecoming queen when you thought you deserved it more? How about coming home from school in tears because one of your friends has a boyfriend now? Not being picked for individual teams or not having a boyfriend when other girls have one can hurt a lot when you’re a teenager. But you are still beautiful in your own unique ways.
You are altogether beautiful, no matter how anyone sees you at school or on the sports team. Even if you don’t have a boyfriend yet, God sees nothing wrong with you. Even if you weren’t picked for the position you wanted in school or on the sports team, God still chooses you. He sees you as His beloved daughter. Your heavenly father finds no fault or flaw in you! Isn’t that amazing? No one’s opinion of you matters as much as God’s opinion of you.
The next time you struggle with inner beauty, you can say this prayer: “Lord, thank you for reminding me that I am beautiful and chosen in your eyes. Thank you that you don’t see any flaws or faults in me.”
