No podemos hablar de fe y esperanza sin hablar de amor. Los tres son inseparables, siendo el más importante el amor. Dios mismo se define como amor perfecto. El amor abarca todo aquello a lo que estamos llamados como cristianos.
El mandamiento más grande es amar a Dios y el segundo es amarnos unos a otros como nos amamos a nosotros mismos (Mateo 22:35-40). Suena hermoso, pero es una vocación difícil vivir en un mundo quebrantado y sin amor. Amar como Jesús requiere enorme sacrificio y humildad, y no es nuestra forma natural. Es fácil amar a quienes nos aman, pero ¿qué pasa con aquellas personas que parecen imposibles de agradar, y mucho menos amar? ¿Cómo cumplimos con nuestro llamado de amar a nuestro detestable hermano o a la chica mala de la escuela? La buena noticia es que el amor no es un sentimiento, es una elección.
No tienes que esperar hasta sentir amor para que alguien lo ame; simplemente tomas acciones amorosas hacia ellos, y los sentimientos pueden aparecer o no. Esto puede ser una mala noticia para aquellos de nosotros que romantizamos el amor (incluido yo mismo), pero en última instancia nos hace libres. Y a menudo, Dios nos dará sentimientos de amor cuanto más practiquemos el acto de amar, por lo que realmente no tenemos excusa.
No esperes por tus sentimientos. Ama a aquellos que son difíciles de amar de manera práctica y Dios cambiará tu corazón.

We can’t talk about faith and hope without talking about love. The three are inseparable, with the most important being love. God, Himself is defined as per- fect love. Love encompasses all that we are called to as Christians.
The greatest commandment is to love God and the second is to love one another as we love ourselves (Matthew 22:35-40). It sounds beautiful, but it’s a hard calling to live out in a broken and unloving world. Loving like Jesus requires enormous sacri- fice and humility, and it is not our natural way. It’s easy to love those who love us, but what about those people who seem impos- sible to even like, let alone love? How do we fulfill our calling to love our obnoxious brother or the mean girl at school? The good news is that love is not a feeling–it is a choice
You don’t have to wait until you feel love for someone to love them; you simply take loving actions towards them, and the feel- ings may or may not follow. This can be bad news for those of us who romanticize love (myself included), but ultimately it sets us free. And often, God will give us loving feelings the more that we practice the act of loving, so we really have no excuse.
Don’t wait for your feelings. Love those that are difficult to love in a practical way, and God will change your heart.
