A las mujeres les encanta estar siempre bellas. Esto a menudo significa llevar la ropa perfecta, un buen peinado y los accesorios que mejor combinan. ¡A veces nuestro pelo puede suponer la diferencia entre tener un buen día o un mal día! Tenemos que admitir nuestra naturaleza superficial y advertir si estamos dándole prioridad a nuestro aspecto exterior por encima de nuestra belleza interna.
La Biblia no condena los adornos externos, sino que nos aconseja que le prestemos más atención «a la belleza que procede de lo íntimo del corazón». ¿Quiénes somos en lo íntimo de nuestro corazón? ¿Estás esforzándote para que esa persona sea preciosa? La belleza, para Dios, es un espíritu suave y apacible.
Oración:
Señor, sé que no siempre actúo con gentileza con los demás. Sé que podría tener un espíritu mucho más tranquilo. Ayúdame a desarrollar y mostrar estas cualidades que son realmente bellas.
Adornment
Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel—rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. 1 PETER 3:3-4 NKJV
Women like to look their best. This usually means wearing the right clothes, hairstyle, and accessories to match. Sometimes just getting our hair right can be the difference between a good or bad day! We need to admit our superficial nature and recognize when we are prioritizing outward appearance over inner beauty.
The Bible doesn’t condemn outward adornment; rather, it is advises that we pay more attention to the “hidden person of the heart.” Who is on the inside? Are you doing your best to make that person beautiful? Beauty, to God, is a gentle and quiet spirit.
Prayer:
Lord, I know I don’t always act in gentleness toward. I know I could do better maintaining a quiet spirit. Help me develop and display these qualities that are truly beautiful.
