Escucharé lo que hablará Jehová Dios; porque hablará paz. SALMOS 85:8
Cada vez que lea las Escrituras piense en lo que el Espíritu Santo puede estar comunicándole a través de ellas. No se limite tan solo a preguntar: ¿Cómo soluciono mi problema? En lugar de eso, en oración tenga en mente las siguientes preguntas:
Señor, ¿cuál es el contexto de lo que estoy leyendo? Ayúdame a comprender el fundamento y el núcleo de lo que se ha escrito. ¿Estás revelándome algo sobre tu carácter, tu relación conmigo o tu provisión? ¿Existen actitudes, creencias y hábitos que socavan mi bienestar o mi relación contigo?
Señor, ¿qué deseas comunicarme hoy? Haz que esos versículos y principios sobresalgan y ayúdame a enfocarme en todo lo que deseas que yo sea. ¿Hay acciones o pasos que estás revelándome a través de tu Palabra? ¿Cómo deseas que aplique lo que estoy leyendo? ¿Qué quieres lograr en mí y por medio de mí?
Su Padre celestial le hablará. Le recordará cosas que desea solucionar en usted. Sin importar de qué se trate, no haga caso omiso a lo que le diga. Por el contrario, siga obedeciendo todo aquello que Jesús le pida, ya que en lo más profundo, eso significa cumplir la voluntad divina.
Oración:
Jesús, quiero escuchar lo que tengas que decirme. Ayúdame a entender lo que me comunicas a través de tu Palabra. Amén.
HEARING THE WORD
I will hear what God the LORD will say; for He will speak peace. PSALM 85:8
Whenever you read Scripture, consider what the Holy Spirit may be communicating to you through it. Don’t just ask, How do I solve my problem? Instead, keep the following prayerful questions in mind.
Lord, what is the context of what I am reading? Help me understand the foundation and heart of what has been written. Are You revealing something about Your character, relationship with me, or provision? Are there attitudes, beliefs, and habits that are undermining my well-being or relationship with You?
Lord, what do You want to communicate to me today? Make those verses and principles stick out, and help me to focus on what You desire me to see. Are there any actions or steps that You are revealing to me through Your Word? How do You desire me to apply what I am reading? What do You desire to accomplish in and through me?
Your heavenly Father will bring things to mind He wants to address in your life. No matter what it is, do not push it aside. Instead, continue pursuing how Jesus desires for you to deal with it. Because that, at its most profound core, is doing God’s will.
Prayer:
Jesus, I want to hear what You have to say. Help me understand what You are communicating through Your Word. Amen.
