Cuando vivimos para otras voces, rápidamente nos cansamos y desanimamos. Las expectativas de los demás sobre cómo deberíamos vivir, actuar y ser a veces son, sencillamente, imposibles. Pero hay una voz que sí que importa y que puede adoptar varias formas: la voz de Dios.
Lo que Dios nos diría es que somos queridos, somos deseados y tenemos un valor muy importante. Somos sus amados, sus hijos, su bella creación. Y esa es la voz que importa. Esa es la voz a la que debemos volver cuando sentimos que no somos suficiente.
Oración:
Padre, ayúdame ignorar las voces que no importan. Nada cambia el amor que tú tienes por mí. Hoy decido sentarme y empaparme de ese amor.
The Voice of Love
I have given them the glory you gave me, so they may be one as we are one. I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me.” JOHN 17:22-23
When we live for other voices, we will quickly become worn out and discouraged. Other people’s expectations for how we should live, act, and be are sometimes unreachable. There is one voice that matters, and it can come in a variety of forms—the voice of God.
What God would tell us is that we are loved, we are cherished, and we add significant value. We are his beloved, his children, his beautiful creation. This is the voice that matters. This is the voice to come back to when we feel like we’re not enough.
Prayer:
Father, help me to ignore the voices that don’t matter. Nothing changes the love you have for me. Today, I choose to sit and soak in that love.
