Esta es la confianza que tenemos al acercarnos a Dios: que, si pedimos conforme a su voluntad, él nos oye. Y, si sabemos que Dios oye todas nuestras oraciones, podemos estar seguros de que ya tenemos lo que le hemos pedido. 1 JUAN 5:14-15
A veces puede parecernos que Dios está muy, muy lejos: un hombre elusivo en los cielos, tan por encima de nosotros que de ningún modo podría estar interesado en nuestra vida diaria. En comparación, nuestros deseos y peticiones son tan pequeños que parece que no valga la pena acudir a él para que nos ayude.
Pero él es un Dios que ama a sus hijos. Quiere que seamos felices, que nos sintamos plenos. Cuando nos acercamos con nuestros deseos y necesidades, ¡él nos escucha de verdad! La próxima vez que sientas que tus peticiones son demasiado poco importantes como para acudir a Dios, recuérdate a ti misma que él siempre está escuchándote. Aunque puede que no te responda de la forma que esperas, él estará ahí, a tu lado, dispuesto a oírte.
Oración:
Dios, lléname de tu presencia hoy. Sé que tú me amas y que quieres lo mejor para mí. Gracias porque, cuando te pido algo, tú me oyes y me respondes.
He Hears
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him. 1 JOHN 5:14-15
Sometimes it can feel as if God is far away: an elusive man in the heavens who is so far above us that he cannot be interested in our day-to-day lives. Our desires and requests are so small by comparison that it seems unworthy a task to even ask him for help.
But he is a God who loves his children. He wants us to be happy, to feel fulfilled. When we approach him with our wants and needs, he truly hears us! The next time you feel as if your requests are too unimportant to bother God about, remind yourself that he is always listening. Though he may not answer you in the way you expect, he is right there beside you, ready to lend an ear.
Prayer:
God, fill me with your presence today. I know you love me and you want the best for me. Thank you that when I ask, you hear me and you answer.
