¿No sabéis que sois templo de Dios y que el Espíritu de Dios mora en vosotros?
1 Corintios 3:16
La palabra “morar” en este versículo significa “tabernáculo”. Jesús habitó entre nosotros—Él era la Casa de Dios hecho carne—el lugar donde Dios vivía. La Casa de Dios no era un edificio, lugar o denominación, sino una Persona. El cumplimiento de la Casa de Dios comenzó con Jesús. Él era la Casa de Dios en la tierra. Pero este concepto no se detuvo con Él, ni mucho menos. Él fue el cumplimiento inicial de la Casa de Dios, pero no el cumplimiento final. Existe una gran diferencia. Por ejemplo, su conversión no fue la última intención de Dios para usted. Fue Su intención inicial la que te preparó para el cumplimiento final, que es que seas lleno de Su plenitud, viviendo el estilo de vida cristiano normal definido por lo que sucede en el Cielo.
¡Nosotros, la Iglesia, los redimidos, somos el tabernáculo del Espíritu Santo, la morada eterna de Dios! Somos piedras vivas, bien coordinadas, que edifican la morada eterna de Dios (ver 1 Pedro 2:4-5). ¡La Casa de Dios somos nosotros! Es el corazón de nuestra propia identidad. Dios quiere tanto invadir este mundo con la realidad de lo que fue comprado en el Calvario. Pero Él espera a un pueblo que vivirá la vida cristiana normal, arriesgándose, recurriendo constantemente a los recursos invisibles del Cielo que han estado inactivos. Así funcionamos como Casa de Dios.
Oración:
Señor, aviva mi hambre de Tu presencia. ¡Ayúdame a nunca conformarme con la seguridad, sino a buscar más de Ti a toda costa!
Dios te dice:
De toda la creación, te he escogido como Mi morada, Mi heredad, Mi premio. Y te volvería a elegir. Permite que mi plenitud invada y mira lo que podemos hacer juntos.
He longs to dwell in you
Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
I Corinthians 3:16
Dwells in this verse means “to tabernacle.” Jesus tabernacled among us—He was the House of God made flesh—the place where God lived. The House of God was not a building, location, or denomination, but a Person. The fulfillment of the House of God began with Jesus. He was the House of God on earth. But this concept did not stop with Him—far from it. He was the initial fulfillment of the House of God, but not the ultimate fulfillment. There is a big difference. For example, your conversion was not God’s ultimate intent for you. It was His initial intent that set you up for the ultimate fulfillment, which is that you be filled with His fullness, living the normal Christian lifestyle as defined by what takes place in Heaven.
We, the Church, the redeemed, are the tabernacle of the Holy Spirit, the eternal dwelling place of God! We are living stones, fitly framed together, building the eternal dwelling place of God (see 1Pet. 2:4-5). The House of God is us! It is the heart of our very identity. God wants so much to invade this world with the reality of what was purchased on Calvary. But He waits for a people who will live the normal Christian life, putting themselves at risk, constantly tapping into the invisible resources of Heaven that have been standing idle. This is how we function as the House of God.
Prayer:
Lord, stoke up my hunger for Your presence. Help me to never settle for security, but to pursue more of You at all costs!
God tells you:
Of all of creation, I have chosen you as My dwelling place, My inheritance, My prize. And I would choose you again. Allow My fullness to invade, and watch what we can do together.
