2 Corintios 4:6
Pues Dios, quien dijo: «Que haya luz en la oscuridad», hizo que esta luz brille en nuestro corazón para que podamos conocer la gloria de Dios que se ve en el rostro de Jesucristo.
Cuando se dice que la humanidad sufre de ceguera espiritual no se refiere a una condición física, ya que muchos ven y creen solamente en cosas tangibles, sin embargo, su mismo escepticismo y forma de vida les bloquea la capacidad de entender y reconocer que existen otras cosas que son parte del mundo espiritual del hombre.
Este tipo de incapacidad en reconocer que existe un Dios amoroso, quién está dispuesto a ayudar, siempre y cuando se le pida de corazón y se le reconozca como un ser supremo, nunca será superada esta ceguera espiritual que embarga la mente y alma de los hombres.
Es por ello que Jesús es la luz que guiará a los hombres que decidan seguirlo para disfrutar de la vida eterna, así no se pueda ver físicamente, pero sus obras se manifestarán a través de otras personas y los que se nieguen a reconocerlo se quedarán en la oscuridad de sus pensamientos y realidades en este mundo físico plagado de maldad.
Un hombre que no cree en nada a nivel espiritual es un hombre totalmente ciego espiritualmente, ya que vivirá entre las tinieblas hasta que no reconozca a Jesucristo como su único salvador.
No confiar en Dios para la solución de los problemas, es otro de los casos en que la persona se ciega y se limita a ver un problema, sin embargo, al pedirle a Dios que lo ayude a solventar tamaña dificultad se sorprenderá al ver el resultado.
El prejuicio ante otros, es una de las más comunes, ya que se está acostumbrado a juzgar al otro y no ver primero la paja que se tiene en el suyo. Esta es una de las acciones más hipócritas que existen, ya que nadie puede juzgar a otro si el que juzga ha cometido todos los pecados que critica en su hermano.
Dar importancia a las apariencias y dejar de lado lo que hay en el corazón de esa persona está en contra de los designios de Dios, ya que en el alma emanan la bondad, el amor, las buenas acciones y no de la apariencia del hombre.
A pesar de las dificultades que atravesamos en nuestras vidas debemos evitar la ceguera espiritual y solo en la persistencia genuina de seguir a Jesús cada día, en completa sumisión a Él y a su palabra, caerán los velos y las escamas de nuestros ojos. Así podremos ver los milagros y maravillas en nuestras vidas.
Isaias 35:5
Y cuando él venga, abrirá los ojos de los ciegos y destapará los oídos de los sordos.
Oración:
Rey de Gloria, tu eres la luz que resplandece en nuestras vidas y es tu poder que rompe con la ceguera espiritual, das vista al ciego, alumbrando hasta lo profundo de nuestro ser, donde toda tiniebla se disipa en nuestras vidas y podemos manifestar la bondad y misericordia a nuestro prójimo en el nombre de Jesús. ¡Amén!
Spiritual Blindness
2 Corinthians 4:6
For God, who said: “There is light in the darkness,” made this light shine in our hearts so that we can know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ.
When it is said that humanity suffers from spiritual blindness it does not refer to a physical condition, since many see and believe only in tangible things, however, their very skepticism and way of life blocks them from the ability to understand and recognize that there are other things that are part of man’s spiritual world.
This kind of inability to recognize that there is a loving God, who is willing to help, as long as he is asked of heart and recognizes Him as a supreme being, this spiritual blindness that engenders the mind and soul of men will never be overcome.
That’s why Jesus is the light that will guide men who choose to follow Him to enjoy eternal life, so you can’t physically see it. but their works will manifest themselves through other people, and those who refuse to recognize it will remain in the darkness of their thoughts and realities in this physical world riddled with evil.
A man who believes in nothing at the spiritual level is a man who is totally spiritually blind, for he will live in darkness until he recognizes Jesus Christ as his only savior.
Not trusting God for problem solving is another case where the person is blind and merely seeing a problem, but asking God to help him solve whatever difficulty will be surprised to see the result.
Prejudice before others is one of the most common, as you are accustomed to judging the other and not seeing first the plank that you have in yourself. This is one of the most hypocritical actions that exist, for no one can judge another if the judge has committed all the sins he criticizes in his brother.
To give importance to appearances and to set aside what is in that person’s heart is against God’s designs, for goodness, love, good actions emanate in the soul, not from the appearance of man.
Despite the difficulties we face in our lives we must avoid spiritual blindness and only in the genuine persistence of following Jesus each day, in complete submission to Him and His word, is how the veils and scales of our eyes fall. Thus we can see miracles and wonders in our lives.
Isaiah 35:5
And when he comes, he will open the eyes of the blind and unplug the ears of the deaf.
Prayer:
King of Glory, you are the light that shines in our lives and it is your power that breaks with spiritual blindness, you look to the blind, shining to the depths of our being, where all darkness dissipates in our lives and we can manifest goodness and mercy to our neighbor in the name of Jesus. Amen!
