Juan 10:10
El propósito del ladrón es robar y matar y destruir; mi propósito es darles una vida plena y abundante.
La palabra “abundante” en griego es perisson, que significa “excesivamente, altamente, más allá de la medida, más, superfluo, una cantidad tan abundante como para ser considerablemente más de lo que uno esperaría o anticiparía”. En definitiva, Jesús nos promete una vida mucho mejor de la que nos podríamos imaginar, un concepto que nos recuerda de:
1 Corintios 2:9
«Ningún ojo ha visto, ningún oído ha escuchado, ninguna mente ha imaginado lo que Dios tiene preparado para quienes lo aman».
Algo que para la mayoría resulta muy difícil es elegir, sobre todo, cuando tenemos múltiples opciones y no hay un parámetro claro para decidir lo mejor; y, además, cuando lo que vamos a elegir es determinante para nuestra vida e influirá poderosamente en aquellos que están a nuestro alrededor.
Dios hizo al hombre libre y por eso la tarea de elegir le corresponde única y exclusivamente a él. Lo que sí es cierto, es que Dios espera que el hombre le pida sabiduría y consejo, pues sus decisiones, quiéralo o no, son trascendentales y afectarán su presente, su futuro, el de su familia y muchas veces, el del mundo entero. Dios ofrece al hombre llenarlo de sabiduría y entendimiento para escoger lo mejor, lo que a la postre le va a traer bien, a él y a los suyos. Sin embargo, la autosuficiencia del hombre no le deja oír la voz de su Creador.
Es importante que antes de decidir cualquier cosa, nos hagamos la siguiente reflexión: ¿Esto que estoy eligiendo trae satisfacción y realización a mi vida? ¿Mi familia se siente favorecida con ello? ¿Lo que estoy eligiendo, es correcto, o viola los principios morales? ¿Estoy sembrando la buena semilla, para así esperar los mejores frutos? ¿Lo que voy a hacer, está de acuerdo con la Voluntad de Dios?
La Palabra de Dios nos muestra caminos de bendición, los cuales siempre irán acompañados de gozo. Elijamos con la ayuda de Dios, y no neciamente. La Palabra de Dios nos enseña en Proverbios 14:12. «Hay camino que al hombre le parece derecho; pero su fin es camino de muerte». Pensemos que tenemos una sola vida, y por eso debemos invertirla en lo mejor.
Cuando elegimos a Dios, para que sea el centro de nuestra vida y nos dirija, hacemos la más grande y única decisión. La vida sin Él no tiene sentido, todo lo que elija sin tenerle en cuenta, jamás tendrá un buen fin; tarde o temprano, el que lo haga, comerá su propio pan de dolores.
Las obras de la vida como establecer y levantar un hogar, mantener unos hijos bien formados, dirigir una empresa, etc. deben tener en cuenta a Dios, y en el caso de la familia, con mayor razón no busquemos otro cimiento más que Él.
Sin Dios, todo será de escasa importancia. Hagamos que Él sea nuestra máxima prioridad en nuestras vidas, y permitamos que nos guíe cada día. La seguridad es que viviremos muy felices por esta elección.
Elige tener una vida en abundancia en Jesús y todo lo demás se añadirá en tu vida.
Oración:
Amado Rey, ayudanos a depender de ti y no de nosotros mismos, regalanos sabiduría e inteligencia para poder tomar buenas decisiones, necesitamos de tu guía divina para no tropezar y caer, llévanos a una vida abundante y plena, bajo la dirección de tu palabra, como lampara a nuestros pies, entronate en nuestras familias, porque tu eres nuestro Rey de Reyes, Señor de Señores, en el nombre de Jesús. ¡Amén!
Life in Abundance
John 10:10
The purpose of the thief is to steal and kill and destroy; my purpose is to give them a full and abundant life.
The word “abundant” in Greek is perissos, which means “excessively, highly, beyond measure, more, superfluous, an amount as abundant as to be considerably more than one would expect or anticipate”. In short, Jesus promises us a much better life than we could imagine, a concept that reminds us of:
1 Corinthians 2:9
“No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him”.
One thing that is very difficult for most is to choose, especially when we have multiple choices and there is no clear parameter for deciding the best; and also when what we are going to choose is decisive for our lives and will have a powerful influence on those around us.
God made man free, and therefore the task of choosing belongs only and exclusively to him. What is true is that God expects man to ask for wisdom and advice, for his decisions, whether he wants it or not, are transcendental and will affect his present, his future, that of his family and often that of the whole world. God offers man to fill him with wisdom and understanding in order to choose the best, what he will eventually bring to him and his own. However, man’s self-sufficiency does not allow him to hear the voice of his Creator.
It is important that before we decide anything, we make the following reflection: Does this that I am choosing bring satisfaction and realization to my life? Does my family feel favored with it? Is what I am choosing right, or violates moral principles? Am I sowing the good seed, so as to expect the best fruits? What I am going to do is in accordance with God’s will?
The Word of God shows us ways of blessing, which will always be accompanied by joy. Let us choose with God’s help, and not foolishly. The Word of God teaches us in Proverbs 14:12. “There is a path that seems right to man; but its end is a path of death”. Let us think that we have one life, and that is why we must invest it in the best. When we choose God, to be the center of our life and to direct us, we make the greatest and only decision. Life without him makes no sense, whatever he chooses without considering him, will never have a good end; sooner or later, he who does, will eat his own bread of pain.
The works of life such as establishing and raising a home, maintaining well-formed children, running a business, etc. must take into account God, and in the case of the family, more rightly let us not seek another foundation other than him.
Without God, everything will be of little importance. Let Him be our top priority in our lives, and let Him guide us every day. The security is that we will live very happy about this choice.
Choose to have a life in abundance in Jesus and everything else will be added to your life.
Prayer:
Beloved King, help us depend on you and not on ourselves, give us wisdom and intelligence in order to make good decisions, we need your divine guidance in order not to stumble and fall, lead us to an abundant and full life, under the direction of your word, As a lamp at our feet, enter into our families, for you are our King of Kings, Lord of Lords, in the name of Jesus. Amen!
