Juan 14:27
La paz os dejo, mi paz os doy; yo no os la doy como el mundo la da. No se turbe vuestro corazón, ni tenga miedo.
¿Qué es la paz?
Si le preguntas a la gente qué significa la paz, te darán una variedad de respuestas:
• Paz y silencio
• Tranquilidad
• Libre de perturbaciones
• Falta de pensamientos o sentimientos opresivos
• Relaciones armoniosas
• Tiempo sin guerra
• Ausencia de hostilidad o daño
Aunque esas respuestas no son malas o equivocadas, suelen estar desde un punto de vista que no incluye a Dios en la ecuación. La paz del mundo es diferente de la paz de Dios.
La paz deseada y ofrecida por el mundo nos da la paz en una variedad de formas: oficiales de policía, bomberos, cuentas de retiro y seguro de salud para nombrar algunos. Además de esas cosas, no tener guerra, experimentar la armonía en nuestras relaciones, y no tener pensamientos opresivos son todas grandes cosas. Todo esto es muy útil y estamos bendecidos por ello. ¿Quién no los querría? Pero este tipo de paz es temporal y depende de las circunstancias, y no proporcionan el tipo de paz que Jesús ofrece. Cuando las cosas están en calma, estamos en paz. Cuando nuestras circunstancias se oscurecen, no estamos en paz.
En Juan 14:27, Jesús no quiere que nuestros corazones se turben. Porque aunque nos preocupemos por las luchas temporales, Él ofrece una solución permanente, que es su paz. No importa cuán inteligentes seamos, cuán decorados sean nuestros currículums, cuántos inventos se acrediten a nuestros nombres, o cuán inteligentes, creativos y sabios seamos, no sabemos cómo crear paz.
La paz de Dios y nuestra naturaleza pecaminosa están en guerra. No pueden coexistir. Pero cuando simplemente nos sometemos a nuestro buen Dios, confiamos en sus caminos y le obedecemos, ya no sucumbimos a nuestra naturaleza pecaminosa y en su lugar experimentamos su perfecta paz.
Jesús nos encuentra en nuestras más profundas necesidades con inexplicable e insondable paz. El término paz de Dios es inigualable e incomparable. Nada ni nadie se compara con esta perfecta y misteriosa paz. Aunque está más allá de nuestra comprensión, sabemos cuándo tenemos la paz de Dios y cuándo no.
La experimentamos en medio del incomparable dolor porque tenemos tranquilidad. La experimentamos cuando estamos en dificultad financiera y no sabemos cómo pagaremos la siguiente deuda, mas nos maravillamos en descansar en la provisión de Dios. La experimentamos cuando nuestra salud está en peligro y no sabemos cuándo vendrá la sanidad, mas no podemos explicar la serenidad con la que vivimos. Esa es la paz de Dios en situaciones imperfectas. La vida no es perfecta, pero nuestro Dios sí lo es.
Dios no siempre nos saca de los valles, pero siempre nos ayudará a cruzarlos. Frecuentemente, es en lo incierto donde Dios nos muestra poderosas revelaciones de quien es Él y quienes somos. Aún podemos confiar y descansar en nuestro buen Dios mientras vivimos retos y exhibir nuestra fe durante nuestras propias lluvias torrenciales. Esta es la fe que place a nuestro Dios.
Oración:
Amado Dios! Gracias por regalarnos de tu perfecta paz, que aunque pasemos por valle de sombra de muerte, tormentas, enfermedades o necesidad, tu nos ayudas por que nuestra confianza esta ti, tu eres nuestra roca y refugio nuestro auxilio en las tribulaciones, gracias por tu perfecta paz y amor, en el nombre de Jesús, Amén!

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you; I don’t give it to you like the world gives it. Do not let your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
What is peace?
If you ask people what peace means, they will give you a variety of answers:
• Peace and silence
• Tranquillity
• Free from disturbances
• Lack of oppressive thoughts or feelings
• Harmonious relationships
• Time without war
• Absence of hostility or harm
Although those answers are not bad or wrong, they are usually from a point of view that does not include God in the equation. The peace of the world is different from the peace of God.
The peace desired and offered by the world gives us peace in a variety of ways: police officers, firefighters, retirement accounts, and health insurance to name a few. Besides those things, not having war, experiencing harmony in our relationships, and not having oppressive thoughts are all great things. This is all very helpful and we are blessed for it. Who wouldn’t want them? But this kind of peace is temporary and dependent on circumstances, and they don’t provide the kind of peace that Jesus offers. When things are calm, we are at peace. When our circumstances darken, we are not at peace.
In John 14:27, Jesus does not want our hearts to be troubled. Because even though we worry about temporary struggles, He offers a permanent solution, which is his peace. No matter how smart we are, how decorated our resumes are, how many inventions are credited to our names, or how smart, creative, and wise we are, we don’t know how to create peace.
God’s peace and our sinful nature are at war. They cannot coexist. But when we simply submit to our good God, trust his ways and obey him, we no longer succumb to our sinful nature and instead experience his perfect peace.
Jesus meets us in our deepest needs with inexplicable and unfathomable peace. The term peace of God is unmatched and incomparable. Nothing and no one compares to this perfect and mysterious peace. Although it is beyond our comprehension, we know when we have the peace of God and when we don’t.
We experience it in the midst of incomparable pain because we have peace of mind. We experience it when we are in financial difficulty and do not know how we will pay the next debt, but we marvel at resting in God’s provision. We experience it when our health is in danger and we do not know when healing will come, but we cannot explain the serenity with which we live. That is the peace of God in imperfect situations. Life is not perfect, but our God is.
God does not always bring us out of the valleys, but he will always help us cross them. Often times, it is in the uncertain where God shows us powerful revelations of who He is and who we are. We can still trust and rest in our good God as we experience challenges and display our faith during our own torrential rains. This is the faith that pleases our God.

Beloved God! Thank you for giving us your perfect peace, that although we pass through the valley of the shadow of death, storms, diseases or need, you help us because our trust is in you, you are our rock and refuge, our help in tribulations, thank you for your perfect Peace and love, in the name of Jesus, Amen!
