Salmo 24:8-10
«¿Y quién es este Rey poderoso?» «¡Es el Dios de Israel; Dios fuerte y valiente! ¡Es nuestro Dios, el valiente guerrero!» «¡Abran los portones de Jerusalén! ¡Dejen abiertas sus antiguas entradas! ¡Está pasando el Rey poderoso!» «¿Y quién es este Rey poderoso?» «¡Es el Dios de Israel, el Rey poderoso! ¡Él es el Dios del universo!»
Muchos creen conocer a Dios, porque saben que el hace milagros, otros porque han estado en la iglesia por muchos años o tal vez nacieron en un hogar cristiano.
Jesús le dijo a los apóstoles en
Juan 14:9
Jesús le contestó: —Felipe, ya hace mucho tiempo que estoy con ustedes, ¿y todavía no me conoces? El que me ha visto a mí, también ha visto al Padre. ¿Por qué me dices “Déjanos ver al Padre”?
El anhela tener comunión con nosotros y que cada dia lo conozcamos más.
Por eso es necesario que todos sepamos lo siguiente acerca de Dios:
1▪︎Debemos saber que de Dios es absolutamente todo.
2 ▪︎Debemos sentirnos privilegiados de que hemos sido escogidos, pues no somos merecedores de estar en su presencia, es solo a través de su gracia y misericordia.
3 ▪︎Dios quiere que hagamos el bien, aunque esto no esté en nosotros, por eso cada día necesitamos sus nuevas misericordias.
4 ▪︎Dios quiere le amemos, por eso el demuestra siempre su amor por nosotros.
Deuteronomio 6:5
»Ama al Señor tu Dios con todo tu corazón, con toda tu alma y con todas tus fuerzas.
5 ▪︎Dios quiere que lo honremos, el es Nuestro Padre y es Dios, no debemos exigirle u ordenarle, pide lo que tu quieras con amor pero al final que se haga su voluntad que es buena, agradable y perfecta.
6 ▪︎Debemos entender que Dios, nuestro Padre Celestial es amor.
1 Juan 4:8
El que no ama no ha conocido a Dios, porque Dios es amor.
Salmo 27:10
Aunque mi padre y mi madre me dejaran, Con todo, Jehová me recogerá.
7▪︎ Dios también nos corrige por amor.
Hebreos 12:6
Porque el Señor al que ama, disciplina, Y azota a todo el que recibe por hijo.
Este tiempo en que entramos a entregar las primicias a Dios, no lo vamos a hacer, si realmente no lo conocemos, aunque sea un poco.
El es fiel y nos quiere bendecir más de lo que lo podamos imaginar, por eso quiere enseñarnos que el es Rey de Reyes y Señor de Señores, no quiere que tengamos otros dioses, ya que al tener algo o alguien por encima de Él, nos llevará a la destrucción y muerte. David fue llamado por Dios, un hombre conforme a su corazón, ya que el no tuvo en su vida más dioses y asi lo expresa en este salmo.
Si nosotros confiamos plenamente en el, aprovecharemos este tiempo para entregar nuestras primicias y diezmos del fruto de nuestras labores.
Proverbios 3:9-10
Honra a Jehová con tus bienes, Y con las primicias de todos tus frutos; Y serán llenos tus graneros con abundancia, Y tus lagares rebosarán de mosto.
David siempre quiso darle lo mejor a Dios, no permitió que Arauna le diera los animales y el territorio para el holocausto como ofrenda a Dios, si no que le dijo
2 Samuel 24:24-25
Y el rey dijo a Arauna: No, sino por precio te lo compraré; porque no ofreceré a Jehová mi Dios holocaustos que no me cuesten nada. Entonces David compró la era y los bueyes por cincuenta siclos de plata. Y edificó allí David un altar a Jehová, y sacrificó holocaustos y ofrendas de paz; y Jehová oyó las súplicas de la tierra, y cesó la plaga en Israel.
Aparte de nuestras primicias financieras, entremos este año con todo lo mejor de nosotros, siendo nosotros mismos, los sacrificios vivos agradables a Dios, dando también estas primicias con oración y ayuno.
Dios es fiel, nos escuchará, recibirá lo que le traemos y parará toda plaga de destrucción y muerte.
Oración:
Nos aferramos a tus nuevas misericordias de este día Señor Jesús, queremos conocerte más y poder ser sacrificio vivo agradable a ti.
Establece tu amor en nuestros corazones y podamos confiar plenamente en ti, entregandote todo lo mejor de nosotros, con nuestras primicias, oración y ayuno. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén!

Psalm 24: 8-10
Who is this King of glory: The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is he, this King of glory? The Lord Almighty – he is the King of glory.
Many believe they know God because they know that he works miracles, others because they have been in church for many years or maybe they were born into a Christian home.
Jesus told the apostles in
John 14: 9
Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
He longs to have communion with us and that we know him more each day.
That is why we all need to know the following about God:
1▪︎We must know that everything belongs to God.
2 ▪︎We must feel privileged that we have been chosen, because we are not worthy of being in his presence, it is only through his grace and mercy.
3 ▪︎God wants us to do good, even if this is not in us, that is why every day we need his new mercies.
4 ▪︎God wants us to love him, so he always shows his love for us.
Deuteronomy 6: 5
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
5 ▪︎God he wants us to honor him, he is Our Father and he is God, we should not demand or order him, he asks what you want with love but in the end that his will be done, which is good, pleasant and perfect.
6 ▪︎We must understand that God, our Heavenly Father is love.
1 John 4: 8
Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love
Psalm 27:10
Even if my father and mother leave me, Still, Jehovah will pick me up.
7▪︎ God also corrects us out of love.
Hebrews 12: 6
because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.”
This time when we enter to deliver the first fruits to God, we are not going to do it, if we do not really know him, even a little.
He is faithful and wants to bless us more than we can imagine, that is why he wants to teach us that he is King of Kings and Lord of Lords, he does not want us to have other gods, since by having something or someone above Him, we will lead to destruction and death. David was called by God, a man according to his heart, since he did not have in his life more gods and so he expresses it in this psalm.
If we fully trust him, we will take advantage of this time to give our first fruits and tithes of the fruit of our labors.
Proverbs 3: 9-10
Honor the Lord with your wealth, And with the firstfruits of all your fruits; And your barns will be filled with abundance, And your vats will overflow with new wine.
David always wanted to give the best to God, he did not allow Arauna to give him the animals and the territory for the holocaust as an offering to God, but he told him
2 Samuel 24: 24-25
But the king replied to Araunah, “No, I insist on paying you for it. I will not sacrifice to the Lord my God burnt offerings that cost me nothing.” So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen and paid fifty shekels of silver for them. David built an altar to the Lord there and sacrificed burnt offerings and fellowship offerings. Then the Lord answered his prayer in behalf of the land, and the plague on Israel was stopped.
Apart from our financial firstfruits, let us enter this year with all the best of us, being ourselves, the living sacrifices pleasing to God, also giving these firstfruits with prayer and fasting.
God is faithful, he will listen to us, he will receive what we bring him and will stop all plague of destruction and death.
Prayer:
We cling to your new mercies of this day Lord Jesus, we want to know you more and be able to be a living sacrifice pleasing to you. Establish your love in our hearts and we can fully trust you, giving you all the best of us, with our first fruits, prayer and fasting. In the name of Jesus. Amen!
