Mateo 2:10-12
Y al ver la estrella, se regocijaron con muy grande gozo. Y al entrar en la casa, vieron al niño con su madre María, y postrándose, lo adoraron; y abriendo sus tesoros, le ofrecieron presentes: oro, incienso y mirra. Pero siendo avisados por revelación en sueños que no volviesen a Herodes, regresaron a su tierra por otro camino.
Jesús es la más grande manifestación del amor de Dios por nosotros.
▪︎Él es el nuevo pacto de amor y de gracia de parte de Dios.
Dios habia revelado a los profetas, la venida del Mesías.
Isaias 9:6
Porque un niño nos es nacido, hijo nos es dado, y el principado sobre su hombro; y se llamará su nombre Admirable, Consejero, Dios Fuerte, Padre Eterno, Príncipe de Paz.
▪︎También su nacimiento lo proclamó y los sabios pudieron interpretar lo que anunciaban los cielos.
Salmos 19:1
Los cielos cuentan la gloria de Dios, Y el firmamento anuncia la obra de sus manos.
▪︎Lo anunció a los pastores que apacentaban sus rebaños.
Lucas 2:8-12
Había pastores en la misma región, que velaban y guardaban las vigilias de la noche sobre su rebaño. Y he aquí, se les presentó un ángel del Señor, y la gloria del Señor los rodeó de resplandor; y tuvieron gran temor. Pero el ángel les dijo: No temáis; porque he aquí os doy nuevas de gran gozo, que será para todo el pueblo: que os ha nacido hoy, en la ciudad de David, un Salvador, que es CRISTO el Señor. Esto os servirá de señal: Hallaréis al niño envuelto en pañales, acostado en un pesebre.
Y a ti también se te dio a conocer el evangelio, las buenas nuevas de salvación.
Todo este grupo de personas a que se les anunció su venida, lo creyeron, lo proclamaron y corrieron a tener un encuentro con Él, glorificaron y alabaron a Dios, los magos trajeron presentes para adorarlo, ¿y ahora tu como lo vas alabar y adorar?
Ellos trajeron oro que simbolizaba:
El regalo típico que se obsequia a los reyes, porque simboliza señorío y realeza —un regalo adecuado para el “Rey de reyes”
1 Timoteo 6:14-15
que guardes el mandamiento sin mácula ni reprensión, hasta la aparición de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, la cual a su tiempo mostrará el bienaventurado y solo Soberano, Rey de reyes, y Señor de señores,
El incienso por su divinidad ya que Él es 100% Dios y se hizo 100% hombre por amor a nosotros.
La Mirra
la mirra suele relacionarse con los embalsamamientos y los entierros por su uso, simbolizaba el sufrimiento que tendría que pasar para salvar a la humanidad del pecado y la muerte.
¿Ahora nosotros que regalos 🎁, daremos a Jesús?
El oro representa su gloria, si creemos y obedecemos veremos su gloria.
El incienso representa nuestra adoración y alabanza.
La mirra representa ofrecer sacrificios a Dios.
▪︎Con nuestras finanzas, del salario de nuestro esfuerzo laboral dando nuestros diezmos y ofrendas.
Proverbios 3:9
Honra a Jehová con tus bienes, Y con las primicias de todos tus frutos;
▪︎Con el amor al prójimo e inclusive, perdonando y bendiciendo con nuestras oraciones a los que nos han hecho daño.
Efesios 5:2
Y andad en amor, como también Cristo nos amó, y se entregó a sí mismo por nosotros, ofrenda y sacrificio a Dios en olor fragante.
Juan 15:13
Nadie tiene mayor amor que este, que uno ponga su vida por sus amigos.
Llevemos nuestros regalos 🎁 a Jesus esta navidad demostrando el amor de Dios a alguien que nunca se imagino que lo bendeciriamos.
Oración:
¡Rey Amado! Venimos ante tu trono a regalarte nuestro corazón y todo lo que somos mi Dios, hoy recibe nuestra alabanza como perfume grato ante tu altar como sacrificio vivo nuestro caminar, es tu presencia la que enciende las brazas de amor que nos entrelazan a tu corazón y nos hacen permanecer en tu gloria mi Señor; Bendito Espíritu Santo ayúdanos a reflejar el amor de Cristo hacia los demás, en el nombre de Jesús, ¡Amén!
Gifts for the King of Kings
Matthew 2: 10-12
And when they saw the star, they rejoiced with great joy. And as they entered the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and falling down, they worshiped him; and opening their treasures, they offered him presents: gold, frankincense and myrrh. But being warned by revelation in dreams not to return to Herod, they returned to their land by another way.
Jesus is the greatest manifestation of God’s love for us.
▪︎He is the new covenant of love and grace from God.
God had revealed to the prophets the coming of the Messiah.
Isaiah 9: 6
Because a child is born to us, a son is given to us, and the principality on his shoulder; and his name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
▪︎ His birth also proclaimed it and the wise men were able to interpret what the heavens announced.
Psalm 19: 1
The heavens declare the glory of God, And the firmament declares the work of his hands.
▪︎He announced it to the shepherds who were pasturing their flocks.
Luke 2: 8-12
There were shepherds in the same region, who watched and kept the night watches over their flock. And behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were very afraid. But the angel said to them: Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you news of great joy, which will be for all the people: that a Savior has been born to you today, in the city of David, who is CHRIST the Lord. This will serve as a sign: You will find the baby wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
And you too were made known the gospel, the good news of salvation.
All this group of people to whom His coming was announced, believed Him, proclaimed Him and ran to have an encounter with Him, glorified and praised God, the magicians brought presents to worship Him, and now how are you going to praise and adore Him?
They brought gold that symbolized:
The typical gift given to kings, because it symbolizes lordship and royalty – a suitable gift for the “King of kings.”
1 Timothy 6: 14-15
that you keep the commandment without spot or reproof, until the appearance of our Lord Jesus Christ, which in due time will show the blessed and only Sovereign, King of kings, and Lord of lords,
The incense for His divinity since He is 100% God and became 100% man for love of us.
Myrrh
Myrrh is usually related to embalming and burials for its use, it symbolized the suffering that He would have to go through to save humanity from sin and death.
Now what gifts do we give to Jesus?
Gold represents His glory, if we believe and obey we will see His glory.
The incense represents our worship and praise.
Myrrh represents offering sacrifices to God.
▪︎With our finances, from the salary of our work effort giving our tithes and offerings.
Proverbs 3: 9
Honor the Lord with your wealth, And with the firstfruits of all your fruits;
▪︎With love for our neighbor and even, forgiving and blessing with our prayers those who have hurt us.
Ephesians 5: 2
And walk in love, as Christ also loved us and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a fragrant odor.
John 15:13
Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.
Let’s bring our gifts 🎁 to Jesus this Christmas showing God’s love to someone who never imagined that we would bless Him.
Prayer:
Beloved King! We come before Your throne to give You our hearts and all that we are my God, today receive our praise as a pleasant perfume before Your altar as a living sacrifice our walk, it is Your presence that ignites the fathoms of love that entwine us to Your heart and we make my Lord abide in Your glory; Blessed Holy Spirit help us to reflect the love of Christ towards others, in the name of Jesus, Amen!
