Salmos 27:1
Jehová es mi luz y mi salvación; ¿de quién temeré? Jehová es la fortaleza de mi vida; ¿de quién he de atemorizarme?
Realmente me emociona leer este Salmo, no puedo más que pensar en el sentimiento que motivó en lo más profundo del corazón de David al escribir este poema y oración al Señor. Pareciera parafrasear mi vida, a lo largo de los 14 versículos.
Estos últimos meses he sentido muchas cargas en mi corazón, pruebas de todo tipo, temores que me agobian a diario, quitándome la paz. Al leer detenidamente este Salmo, “Mi luz y mi salvación”, sentí el poder de la Palabra del Señor aliviando cada área de mi vida, desechando todo temor, calmando mis ansiedades.
Sentirme tan especial, por ese sentido de pertenencia, Él es mío (mi padre) y yo su hijo(a).
Una relación de intimidad profunda, en la que Dios guiará con Su luz mi camino, a través de Su Palabra. Y es “Mi salvación”, por medio de Jesús, quién con su vida pagó por mis pecados para darme vida eterna.
Sobre una roca me pondrá en alto, me da la certeza que no importa lo que esté sucediendo, Él me dará la fuerza para levantarme y me acercará a ÉL (en lo alto, arriba de las tormentas). Levantará mi cabeza sobre mis enemigos, de manera que podré alabar su nombre aún en medio de los que desean mi mal; si me dejaren mis familiares queridos (esposa(o), hijos, padres, amigos) Él estará presto a recogerme, no seré abandonado(a), ni me sentiré desechado(a).
Así como David también anhelaba en su corazón estar cerca (en la casa de Jehová) TODOS los días, para contemplar su hermosura, ese debe ser nuestro anhelo. TODOS los días, no sólo en los días tristes y solos. David se confiesa débil, quizás sintió desmayar en alguna circunstancia, así como a veces nos sentimos; pero estaba seguro que vería la bondad del Señor en esta tierra. Ésa debe ser nuestra esperanza y nuestra confianza, que seremos testigos de los prodigios del Señor en nuestras vidas y en este mundo: Ser hombres y mujeres de fe.
Y finalmente David nos da indicaciones:
Salmos 27:14
“Aguarda a Jehová; esfuérzate, y aliéntese tu corazón;
Sí, espera a Jehová”. Él será tu luz y tu Salvación.
Dios nos esta llamando a ser valientes y esforzados porque estamos viviendo tiempos diferentes, ya que muchas cosas están cambiando, así mismo nosotros debemos levantarnos en fe a predicar su evangelio, sin temor, peleando nuestra batalla en el espíritu.
Josue 1:9
Mira que te mando que te esfuerces y seas valiente; no temas ni desmayes, porque Jehová tu Dios estará contigo en dondequiera que vayas.
Oración:
¡Poderoso Dios! Nos guardas de todo peligro y nos tomas en tus brazos porque nos amas; levantas nuestra cabeza cuando estamos caídos y nos alientas a seguir, tu eres nuestro Padre y nosotros tus hijos en ti estamos seguros, nos llevas hacia la roca que es Cristo Jesús para ser empoderados y revistidos de fe, en el nombre de Jesús, ¡Amén!
Man of Faith, Strong and Courageous
Psalm 27: 1
The Lord is my light and my salvation; Of whom will I fear? Jehovah is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?
I am really excited to read this Psalm, I can’t help but think of the feeling that motivated deep in David’s heart when he wrote this poem and prayer to the Lord. It seems to paraphrase my life, throughout the 14 verses.
These last months I have felt many burdens in my heart, trials of all kinds, fears that overwhelm me daily, taking away my peace. As I carefully read this Psalm, “My light and my salvation,” I felt the power of the Word of the Lord soothing every area of my life, casting off all fear, calming my anxieties.
Feeling so special, because of that sense of belonging, He is mine (my father) and I am His child.
A relationship of deep intimacy, in which God will guide my path with His light, through His Word. And it is “My salvation”, through Jesus, who with his life paid for my sins to give me eternal life.
On a rock he will raise me up, he gives me the certainty that no matter what is happening, He will give me the strength to get up and will bring me closer to HIM (on high, above the storms). He will lift my head above my enemies, so that I can praise His name even in the midst of those who desire my evil; If my dear relatives (wife, children, parents, friends) leave me, He will be ready to pick me up, I will not be abandoned, nor will I feel rejected.
Just as David also longed in his heart to be near (in the house of Jehovah) EVERY day, to contemplate his beauty, that must be our longing. EVERY day, not just on sad and lonely days. David confesses weak, perhaps he felt faint in some circumstance, just as we sometimes feel; but he was sure he would see the goodness of the Lord on this earth. That must be our hope and our confidence, that we will be witnesses of the wonders of the Lord in our lives and in this world: To be men and women of faith.
And finally David gives us directions:
Psalm 27:14
Wait for Jehovah; be strong, and let your heart be encouraged;
Yes, wait for Jehovah. He will be your light and your Salvation.
God is calling us to be brave and courageous because we are living in different times, since many things are changing, likewise we must rise up in faith to preach his gospel, without fear, fighting our battle in the spirit.
Josue 1: 9
Look, I command you to make an effort and be brave; do not be afraid or dismayed, for Jehovah your God will be with you wherever you go.
Prayer:
Mighty God! You keep us from all danger and You take us in Your arms because You love us; You lift our heads when we are down and encourage us to continue, You are our Father and we Your children in You are safe, You lead us to the rock that is Christ Jesus to be empowered and clothed with faith, in the name of Jesus, Amen !
