Génesis 21:17-19
Y oyó Dios la voz del muchacho; y el ángel de Dios llamó a Agar desde el cielo, y le dijo: ¿Qué tienes, Agar? No temas; porque Dios ha oído la voz del muchacho en donde está. Levántate, alza al muchacho, y sostenlo con tu mano, porque yo haré de él una gran nación. Entonces Dios le abrió los ojos, y vio una fuente de agua; y fue y llenó el odre de agua, y dio de beber al muchacho.
La mujer de esta historia era la esclava de Sara, esposa de Abraham, la cual Sara escogió para lo que podríamos llamar en estos tiempos, una madre sustituta, tuvo que obedecer la orden de su ama y ser el medio en que su ama obtendría un hijo, y fue utilizada para procrear un niño y de esta manera trajo un hijo al mundo, por la decisión de Sara, que se adelantó a los planes de Dios; aunque Abraham su padre lo amaba; cuando ya el niño creció, empezaron problemas entre Agar y Sara, ya que Sara había tenido a su hijo Isaac, el niño de la promesa de Dios. Ismael, el hijo de la esclava trataba mal a su medio hermano Isaac, por lo cual Sara no quiere que ella y su hijo estén más a su lado, Abraham escucha la voz de Dios en que le dice que de ese niño también saldrá una gran nación pero debía despachar a la sierva con el niño; con un gran dolor lo hizo, confiando en la orden de Dios.
Ya ella sola en el desierto sin nada que comer y con sed con su hijo Ismael que ya tenia diecisiete años, verlo deshidratado, debio ser muy doloroso, ver que hiba a morir, con toda la angustia que tenia, se sucumbió solo en la situación en que estaba y no veía más que su soledad, abandono y para colmo viendo a su hijo llorar por la sed y el hambre.
Al escuchar Dios el lamento del niño, Dios le habla a Agar y le abre sus ojos para que ella vea la fuente de agua, así ella toma del agua y le da a su hijo.
En este relato podríamos identificar a Agar con las mujeres que han sido usadas, abandonadas y les ha tocado ir por todas partes, arrastrando sus hijos, sin rumbo alguno.
Y a Ismael representa a esos niños que también han sido abandonados, que no pidieron nacer y vivir las circunstancias que están viviendo.
Dios es fiel, Él escucha siempre nuestras oraciones y no hay lamento o clamor profundo de nuestros corazones que el no conozca, sea el mas profundo sufrimiento, o cualquier condición física o del alma, que el no conozca y donde quiera que levantemos oración, Dios nos escuchará.
Y asi como Agar que estaba cegada por su dolor, el abrirá nuestros ojos para ver las bendiciones que El ha puesto delante de nosotros para que podamos continuar y no perezcamos, obteniendo una nueva visión, un nuevo enfoque y poder cumplir el propósito que El nos ha dado.
Salmo 138:8
Jehová cumplirá su propósito en mí; Tu misericordia, oh Jehová, es para siempre; No desampares la obra de tus manos.
Preguntas para concluir?
▪︎Te has sentido muy poca cosa, y crees que Dios no escucha tus oraciones?
▪︎Has sido rebelde y terco en muchas ocasiones a causa de que has tenido que sufrir en diferentes momentos de tu vida, y no sientes compasión en tu corazón, porque crees que como tu has sufrido otros deben sufrir también?
Oración:
Padre eterno, abre nuestros ojos espirituales para poder ver tus planes maravillosos y propósito eterno en nosotros; donde el dolor y el sufrimiento no prevalezcan en nuestro corazón porque tu misericordia nos levanta en el nombre de Jesús , Amén!
Seeing the Invisible
Genesis 21: 17-19
And God heard the voice of the boy; and the angel of God called to Hagar from the sky, and said to him: What have you, Hagar? Do not worry; because God has heard the voice of the boy where he is. Get up, pick up the boy, and hold him with your hand, for I will make him a great nation. Then God opened his eyes, and he saw a fountain of water; and she went and filled the skin with water, and gave the boy drink.
The woman in this story was the slave of Sarah, Abraham’s wife, whom Sarah chose for what we could call in these times, a surrogate mother, she had to obey the order of her mistress and be the means in which her mistress would obtain a son, and was used to procreate a child and in this way brought a son to the world, by the decision of Sarah, who was ahead of God’s plans; although Abraham his father loved him; When the child grew up, problems began between Hagar and Sarah, since Sarah had had her son Isaac, the child of God’s promise. Ishmael, the son of the slave, treated his half brother Isaac badly, so Sarah does not want her and her son to be by her side anymore, Abraham hears the voice of God in which he tells him that from that child will also come a great nation but had to dispatch the servant with the child; with great pain he did so, trusting in God’s command.
Already alone in the desert with nothing to eat and thirsty with her son Ismael who was already seventeen years old, seeing him dehydrated, it must have been very painful, seeing that he was going to die, with all the anguish he had, he succumbed alone in the situation he was in and he saw nothing but his loneliness, abandonment and to top it off seeing her son cry from thirst and hunger.
When God heard the cry of the child, God spoke to Hagar and opened her eyes so that she could see the source of water, so she took the water and gave it to her child.
In this story we could identify Hagar with women who have been used, abandoned and have had to go everywhere, dragging their children, aimlessly.
And Ismael represents those children who have also been abandoned, who did not ask to be born and live the circumstances they are experiencing.
God is faithful, He always listens to our prayers and there is no deep cry or cry from our hearts that He does not know, be it the deepest suffering, or any physical or soul condition, that He does not know and wherever we raise prayer, God will listen to us.
And just like Hagar who was blinded by her pain, he will open our eyes to see the blessings that He has placed before us so that we can continue and not perish, obtaining a new vision, a new focus and being able to fulfill the purpose that He has given us. had given.
Psalm 138: 8
Jehovah will fulfill his purpose in me; Your mercy, O Lord, is forever; Do not forsake the work of your hands.
