– Génesis 17:8
Y te daré a ti, y a tu descendencia después de ti, la tierra en que moras, toda la tierra de Canaán en heredad perpetua; y seré el Dios de ellos.
– Deutoronomio 7:9
Conoce, pues, que Jehová tu Dios es Dios, Dios fiel, que guarda el pacto y la misericordia a los que le aman y guardan sus mandamientos, hasta mil generaciones;
Las promesas de Dios se refieren a dos aspectos:
La muy numerosa descendencia de Abraham y la posesión de una tierra. Además, se recalca que el pacto no es temporal, sino eterno. Y la fe de Abraham se apoyó en su tiempo en la misma seguridad que la fe de los creyentes de todos los tiempos. Se fundamentó en la certeza de que lo que Dios promete, lo cumple.
El pueblo hebreo habitó en tres ocasiones en su tierra, aunque bajo diferentes condiciones. Dios había predicho que serían expulsados tres veces, y que tres veces regresarían. La primera vez, habitaron en su país hasta que Dios les llevó a Egipto; habían llegado allí unas setenta personas de una familia, y salieron alrededor de un millón y medio. Salieron de Egipto, y ocuparon su tierra hasta que Dios permitió que fuesen expulsados a causa de su idolatría, ya que deshonraron el nombre de Dios, y fueron llevados a la cautividad Babilónica. Al retornar después del cautiverio, permanecieron en la tierra hasta el año 70 de nuestra era, cuando fueron expulsados por los romanos, poco después de rechazar al Mesías. O sea, que han regresado a esa tierra dos veces. Más adelante, en nuestro estudio, consideraremos los argumentos Bíblicos sobre un retorno futuro.
Entramos ahora en un aspecto de este Tema, que se puede titular:
“Dios te quiere bendecir a ti y a mil generaciones despues de ti”
1. Conoce a Dios:
Es importante que te presentes a Él, tal como tú eres, Él siendo Dios conoce quien tú eres, pero al desnudar tu corazón a Él; con tus defectos y debilidades, siendo completamente sincero delante de Él, lo conocerás completamente, como Abraham, Dios lo llamó amigo, y asi el mismo Dios que lla6mo a Abraham amigo, Él se revelará completamente a ti y entrarás al pacto de la gracia, en comunión con Él, porque a través de su amor, Él siendo Dios, tiene una relación contigo y te bendice a ti y a mil generaciones más.
2.La circuncisión, señal del pacto
– Génesis 17: 9-12
Dijo de nuevo Dios a Abraham: En cuanto a ti, guardarás mi pacto, tú y tu descendencia después de ti por sus generaciones.
Éste es mi pacto, que guardaréis entre mí y vosotros y tu descendencia después de ti: Será circuncidado todo varón de entre vosotros.
Circuncidaréis, pues, la carne de vuestro prepucio, y será por señal del pacto entre mí y vosotros.
Y de edad de ocho días será circuncidado todo varón entre vosotros por vuestras generaciones; el nacido en casa, y el comprado por dinero a cualquier extranjero, que no fuere de tu linaje.
Dios no le había pedido a Abram que fuera íntegro “antes” de hacer el Pacto. Más bien, lo puso a dormir en el “Pacto entre las partes”. Él sólo tenía que creer en Dios. Sin embargo, de este momento en adelante Dios espera que él actúe en base al pacto y busque ser honesto delante de Dios.
Esto es lo mismo que Dios espera de nosotros hoy en día. El Señor no exige que hayamos sido perfectos en el pasado para establecer una relación con nosotros. Aún siendo pecadores, Él nos amó y nos salvó
– Romanos 5:8
Mas Dios muestra su amor para con nosotros, en que siendo aún pecadores, Cristo murió por nosotros.
Pero cuando lo reconocemos como Salvador y Señor, de allí en adelante Él espera que caminemos en una sincera relación con Él.
¿Que estás esperando para derramar tu corazón a Dios?
Dios quiere que circuncides tu corazón hoy, la circuncisión del corazón no es una idea del Nuevo Testamento inventada por el Apóstol Pablo la que habla en (Romanos 2:28-29), si no que viene desde el Antiguo Testamento.
– Deuteronomio 10:16
“Circuncidad, pues, el prepucio de vuestro corazón, y no endurezcáis más vuestra cerviz.”
¿Por qué es importante la circuncisión del corazón?
•porque ahi demuestras ante Dios humillación y El a su debido tiempo te exaltara.
– Deuteronomio 10:17,18
“Porque Jehová vuestro Dios es Dios de dioses y Señor de señores, Dios grande, poderoso y temible, que no hace acepción de personas, ni toma cohecho; que hace justicia al huérfano y a la viuda; que ama también al extranjero dándole pan y vestido.”
¿Cual es la evidencia del corazón circuncidado?
• Al permitir al Espíritu Santo sanar nuestro corazón, habra un verdadero cambio de vida y no volveras a ser, el mismo de antes; aunque falles, continuarás cercano a Él, porque Él mismo te levantará, y caminarás, sostenido de su mano.
Oración:
“Padre celestial, hoy reconozco que Tú eres el Dios de mis generaciones, y que quieres bendecir a un millar de ellas, hoy te pido que ayudes a cumplir y a mantener ese pacto, el cual tu hablaste a través de tu siervo, el cual pediste la circuncisión, hoy circuncido mi corazón, para recibir cada bendición que hay en tu corazón para mi y mis generaciones. Amen!”
The God of my Generations
And I will give unto thee, and thy seed after thee, the land in which thou dwell, all the land of Canaan in perpetual inheritance; And I will be their God.

Know, therefore, that Jehovah your God is God, faithful God, who keeps the covenant and mercy to those who love him and keep his commandments, up to a thousand generations;
God’s promises refer to two aspects:
The very numerous offspring of Abraham and the possession of a land. It is also emphasized that the covenant is not temporary, but eternal. And Abraham’s faith was based on his time on the same assurance as the faith of believers of all times. It was based on the certainty that what God promises, He fulfills it.
The Hebrew people lived three times in their land, albeit under different conditions. God had predicted that they would be expelled three times, and that three times they would return. The first time, they lived in their country until God brought them to Egypt; about seventy people from a family had arrived there, and about a million and a half came out. They left Egypt, and occupied their land until God allowed them to be driven out because of their idolatry, for they dishonored the name of God, and were brought into Babylonian captivity. Upon returning after captivity, they remained on earth until the 70th year of our time, when they were expelled by the Romans, shortly after rejecting the Messiah. I mean, they’ve come back to that land twice. Later in our study, we will consider The Biblical Arguments about a Future Return.
We now enter into one aspect of this Theme, which can be held:
“God wants to bless you and a thousand generations after you”
1. Know God:
It is important that you introduce yourself to Him, as you are, God knows who you are, but by baring your heart to Him; with your faults and weaknesses, being completely sincere before Him, you will know Him completely, as Abraham, whom God called a friend, and thus the same God who calls Abraham a friend, will reveal himself completely to you and you will enter into the covenant of grace, in communion with him, because through his love, in him being God, He has a relationship with you and blesses you and a thousand generations.
2. Circumcision, Sign of the Covenant
– Genesis 17: 9-12
God said again unto Abraham, As for thee, thou shalt keep my covenant, thou and thy seed after you for his Generations.
This is my covenant, which you will keep between me and you and your seed after you: Every man among you will be circumcised.
You will therefore circumcise the flesh of your foreskin, and it will be by sign of the covenant between me and you.
And of the age of eight days shall be circumcised every man among you by your generations; the one born at home, and the one bought for money from any foreigner, who is not of your lineage.
God had not asked Abraham to be whole “before” to make the Covenant. Rather, he put him to sleep in the “Pact between the parties”. He just had to believe in God. From now on, however, God expects him to act on the covenant and seek to be honest before God.
This is the same thing God expects of us today. The Lord does not demand that we should have been perfect in the past to establish a relationship with us. Even as sinners, He loved us and saved us.
– Romans 5:8
But God shows his love for us, in that while still sinners, Christ died for us.
But when we recognize Him as Lord and Savior, henceforth He expects us to walk in a sincere relationship with Him.
What are you waiting for to pour your heart out to God?
God wants you to circumcise your heart today, the circumcision of the heart is not an idea of the New Testament invented by the Apostle Paul who speaks in (Romans 2:28-29),but comes from the Old Testament.
– Deuteronomy 10:16
“Circumcise, then, the foreskin of your heart, and do not harden your cervix any more.”
Why is circumcision of the heart important?
•Because there you show before God humiliation and He will exalt you in due time.
– Deuteronomy 10:17.18
“For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, great, mighty, and fearful God, who makes no sense of people, nor takes bribery; that does justice to the orphan and the widow; who also loves the foreigner by giving him bread and clothing.”
What is the evidence of the circumcised heart?
• By allowing the Holy Spirit to heal our hearts, there will be a true change of life and you will never be again, the same as before; even if you fail, you will continue close to Him, for He Himself will lift you up, and walk, held by His hand.
Prayer:
“Heavenly Father, today I recognize that You are the God of my generations, and that you want to bless a thousand of them, today I ask you to help fulfill and maintain that covenant, which you spoke through your servant, who asked for circumcision, circumcise my heart today, to receive every blessing in your heart for me and my generations. Amen!”
