Lo más importante es que culmine mi misión, la obra que el Señor me encomendó.
HECHOS 20:24 (PAR)
Esta es la urgencia de nuestra misión. Jesús dijo: «Mientras sea de día, tenemos que llevar a cabo la obra del que me envió. Viene la noche cuando nadie puede trabajar». El reloj está marcando la hora en tu vida misionera, así que no demores. ¡Inicia tu misión de alcanzar a otros ya! Tendremos toda la eternidad para celebrar con los que llevemos a Jesús, pero tenemos el tiempo contado para alcanzarlos.
Esto no significa que debes dejar tu trabajo y comenzar a ser un evangelista a tiempo completo. Dios quiere que compartas las buenas nuevas donde estés. Como estudiante, madre, maestra de preescolar, vendedor, gerente o en cualquier actividad que hagas debes seguir buscando continuamente a las personas que Dios pone en tu camino para que puedas difundir el evangelio.
Tu misión le da significado a tu vida. William James dijo: «El mejor uso de la vida es emplearla en algo que sobreviva». La verdad es que solo el reino de Dios perdurará, todo lo demás finalmente desaparecerá. Por eso debemos vivir una vida con propósito comprometida con la adoración, el compañerismo, el crecimiento espiritual, los ministerios y el cumplimiento de nuestra misión en la tierra. ¡Los resultados de esas actividades son para siempre!
Si fallas en cumplir la misión que Dios te asignó en la tierra, entonces has desperdiciado la vida que Dios te dio. Pablo dice: «Mi vida carece de valor para mí mismo, con tal de que termine mi carrera y lleve a cabo el servicio que me ha encomendado el Señor Jesús, que es el de dar testimonio del evangelio de la gracia de Dios». Aunque hay muchas personas en este planeta, solo tú o lo que Dios haga por medio de ti podrá alcanzar a quienes viven cerca. Si solo una persona va al cielo por tu causa, tu vida habrá hecho una diferencia por la eternidad. Comienza a observar alrededor de tu campo misionero particular y ora: «Dios, ¿a quién has puesto en mi vida para que le hable de Jesús?».
La conclusión del tiempo de Dios en la historia está vinculada con la terminación de nuestra comisión. Hoy existe un interés creciente en la Segunda Venida de Cristo y el fin del mundo. ¿Cuándo ocurrirá? Poco antes de que Jesús ascendiera al cielo los discípulos le hicieron la misma pregunta, y él respondió lo que era bastante obvio. Les dijo: «No les toca a ustedes conocer la hora ni el momento determinados por la autoridad misma del Padre. Pero cuando venga el Espíritu Santo sobre ustedes, recibirán poder y serán mis testigos tanto en Jerusalén como en toda Judea y Samaria, y hasta los confines de la tierra».
Reflexión:
Quizás tú eres el único cristiano que algunas personas conozcan, y tu misión es hablarles de Jesús.
Tu misión es un privilegio maravilloso. Aunque es una gran responsabilidad también es un honor increíble ser usado por Dios.
DAY 36/Fourth part – Made for a Mission
My life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus — the work of telling others the Good News about God’s wonderful kindness and love.

This is why we must be urgent about our mission. Jesus said, “All of us must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent me, because there is little time left before the night falls and all work comes to an end.” The clock is ticking down on your life mission, so don’t delay another day. Get started on your mission of reaching out to others now! We will have all of eternity to celebrate with those we have brought to Jesus, but we only have our lifetime in which to reach them.
This does not mean you should quit your job to become a full-time evangelist. God wants you to share the Good News where you are. As a student, mother, preschool teacher, salesman, or manager or whatever you do, you should continually look for people God places in your path with whom you can share the gospel.
Your mission gives your life meaning. William James said, “The best use of life is to spend it for something that outlasts it.” The truth is, only the kingdom of God is going to last. Everything else will eventually vanish. That is why we must live purpose-driven lives — lives committed to worship, fellowship, spiritual growth, ministry, and fulfilling our mission on earth. The results of these activities will last — forever!
If you fail to fulfill your God-given mission on earth, you will have wasted the life God gave you. Paul said, “My life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus — the work of telling others the Good News about God’s wonderful kindness and love.” There are people on this planet whom only you will be able to reach, because of where you live and what God has made you to be. If just one person will be in heaven because of you, your life will have made a difference for eternity. Start looking around at your personal mission field and pray, “God, who have you put in my life for me to tell about Jesus?”
God’s timetable for history’s conclusion is connected to the completion of our commission. Today there’s a growing interest in the second coming of Christ and the end of the world. When will it happen? Just before Jesus ascended to heaven the disciples asked him this same question, and his response was quite revealing. He said, “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Reflection:
You are the only Christian some people will ever know, and your mission is to share Jesus with them. Your mission is a wonderful privilege. Although it is a big responsibility, it is also an incredible honor to be used by God.
