Preocupémonos los unos por los otros, a fin de estimularnos al amor y a las buenas obras. No dejemos de congregarnos, como acostumbran hacerlo algunos, sino animémonos unos a otros, y con mayor razón ahora que vemos que aquel día se acerca.

Los jugadores de fútbol no salen por sí solos a enfrentarse a un equipo adversario. Van con su equipo. Saben que se precisan los unos a los otros. Los cristianos también tienen esa necesidad mutua. Estamos del lado de Dios, pero ahí afuera hay fuerzas opositoras espirituales de maldad (Efesios 6.11–18). Sin embargo, los cristianos que conocen el resultado se dan cuenta de la necesidad que tienen unos de otros. Consideran la iglesia como un lugar donde pueden llenarse, sintonizarse y prepararse para regresar al campo.
Los cristianos romanos formaban un fuerte equipo de cristianos para Dios. Su secreto era que estaban bien juntos (Romanos 15.14–15). Se reunían con regularidad. Se desafiaban, se alentaban y se apoyaban unos a otros en su fe.
Nuestra cercanía con otros creyentes está diseñada para estimularnos a vivir una vida buena en un mundo perverso. Dios es aquel que nos proporciona la fuerza y nos protégé del mal, pero una de las formas más poderosas de hacerlo es mediante un equipo de hijos suyos que trabajan juntos.

Señor, me alegra no tener que vivir mi fe a solas. Me hace feliz que estés junto a mí.
Day 169 • Game Time
Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on, especially as we see the big Day approaching.

Soccer players don’t go out on their own to face an opposing team. They go with their team. They know they need each other. Christians need each other too. We are on God’s side, but there are opposing spiritual forces of evil out there
(Ephesians 6:11−18).
But Christians who know the score realize they need each other. They see church as a place where they can get filled up and tuned up and prepared to go back on the field.
One strong team of Christians for God was the Roman Christians. Their secret was they were good together (Romans 15:14−15). They met together regularly. They challenged and encouraged and supported one another in their faith.
Our closeness with other believers is designed to encourage us to live good lives in an evil world. God is the one who gives us strength and protects us from evil, but one of the most powerful ways he does that is through a team of his children working together.
Prayer
God, I’m glad I don’t have to live out my faith alone. I’m glad you are by my side.
