Por regla general, podrías evaluar a otros chicos y adivinar dónde encajan. Sus accesorios (o la falta de ellos), la mochila y el tipo de ropa te indican cuáles son sus preferencias.
Resulta agradable verse asociado a un grupo de amigos que te gustan de verdad y que tienen cosas en común contigo. ¿Qué me dices de un club del que siempre pudieras formar parte? Cuando crees en Dios y le pides a Jesucristo que perdone tus pecados, recibes una marca especial. Es el Espíritu Santo. Está en ti para siempre y te identifica como uno de los hijos eternos de Dios. Todo aquel que está en este club recibirá una extraordinaria herencia de Dios: el regalo del cielo. Desde luego es un grupo al que merece la pena asociarse.
Oración:
Señor, gracias por la oportunidad de unirme a tu club celestial. Te ruego que perdones mis pecados y me envíes tu Espíritu Santo para que me selle como hijo tuyo para siempre.
Day 160 • Join the Club
When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.
(EPHESIANS 1:13–14)
Without asking, you can usually size up other kids and figure out where they fits in. Their accessories (or lack of them), backpack, and kind of clothes clue you in to their preferences.
It’s nice to be associated with a group of friends whom you really like and have things in common with. How about a club that you could always be a part of? When you believe in God and ask Jesus Christ to forgive your sins, you receive a special mark. It’s the Holy Spirit. He is with you forever and identifies you as one of God’s forever children. Everyone in this club will receive a great inheritance from God—the gift of Heaven. Now, that’s a group worth being associated with.
Prayer:
Thank you, Lord, for the opportunity to join your heavenly club. Please forgive me of my sins and send the gift of your holy Spirit to seal me as yours forever.
