Si tengo el don de profecía y entiendo todos los misterios y poseo todo conocimiento, y si tengo una fe que logra trasladar montañas, pero me falta el amor, no soy nada.

Piensa en el monte más alto cerca de tu hogar. Si no hay ninguno, imagina la colina más alta. Figúrate que estás caminando afuera un día y ves que el monte o la colina ha desaparecido. Alguien lo ha trasladado de una parte de la ciudad a la otra. ¡Vaya! Ahora imagínate que fue un amigo tuyo quien pronunció una oración y —¡puf!— así fue como se movió la montaña.
Creerías que tu amigo está supercerca de Dios, que esto implica una fe increíble. Dios enseña que una persona puede hacer, de veras, cosas asombrosas a través de la fe en él, incluidos los milagros que te dejan asombrado, pero si esa persona no tiene amor, no significa nada en absoluto.
A Dios le Importa el amor. Para él es más importante que los milagros, mover montes o hacerlo todo bien. Él quiere que lo amemos y que nos amemos los unos a los otros. De modo que cuando examinas tu día, piensa de qué manera puedes amar a Dios y a los demás. Esto le alegrará el día… ¡y a ti también!

Señor, me gustaría hacer los grandes milagros, pero lo mejor que puedo hacer es amarte a ti y a las demás personas. Lléname hoy de amor.
Day 153 • Where Is the Love?
If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. (1 CORINTHIANS 13:2)
Think of the biggest mountain around your home. If there aren’t any mountains, think of the biggest hill. Imagine walking outside one day and seeing that mountain is gone. Someone moved it from one side of town to the other. Wow! Now imagine it was a friend of yours that prayed a prayer, and—poof!—that’s how the mountain moved.
You would think your friend is super close to God, that there is sure some incredible faith there! God teaches that a person can do really amazing things through faith in him, including miracles that knock your socks off—but if that person doesn’t have love, it doesn’t mean a thing.
Love matters to God. It matters more than miracles, moving mountains, or doing everything right. He wants us to love him. He wants us to love each other. So when you look at your day today, think about how you can love God and love others. It will make his day—and yours!
Prayer:
God, I’d love to do the big miracles, but the best thing I can do is to love you and other people. Fill me up with love today.
