En comparación con otros países, la vida es más fácil para los que vivimos en los Estados Unidos. La mayoría de nosotros no tenemos que preocuparnos por nuestra próxima comida. Podemos entretenernos con música y películas. Si necesitamos algo, nuestros padres pueden ir a una tienda y comprarlo.
Con todas las atracciones divertidas, los espectáculos y los libros entretenidos, y las experiencias agradables, resulta fácil pensar que en la vida solo hay felicidad. Sin embargo, todas esas cosas solo sirven para distraernos de lo más importante. Es un error creer que la meta de Dios para tu vida es que tengas numerosas posesiones, popularidad o diversión.
Aun cuando Dios hizo el mundo para nosotros y quiere que disfrutemos de él, no desea que nos apeguemos demasiado a nada de lo que hay en él. Nos está preparando algo incluso mejor. Un día este mundo tocará a su fin, y Dios creará uno nuevo que durará para siempre.
Oración:
Señor, gracias por todas las cosas divertidas de las que podemos disfrutar aquí en la tierra. Aunque sé que esas cosas me distraen, sé que estás preparando un mundo incluso mejor de lo que puedo imaginar.
Day 52 • What’s Distracting You?
What we see will last only a short time, but what we cannot see will last forever.

Compared with other countries, life is much easier for those of us who live in the United States. Most of us don’t have to worry about our next meal. We can entertain ourselves with music and movies. If we need something, our parents can just go to a store to buy it.
With all the fun attractions, amusing shows and books, and enjoyable experiences, it’s easy to think that life is all about happiness. But all those things are distractions from what’s most important. It Is a mistake to think that God’s goal for your life is lots of possessions or popularity or fun.
Even though God made the world for us and wants us to enjoy it, he doesn’t want us to get too attached to anything in it. He is preparing us for something even better. One day this world will come to an end, and God will create a new one that lasts forever.
Prayer :
God, thank you for all the fun things we can enjoy here on Earth. Although I get distracted by those things I know you are preparing a world even better than I can imagine.
