¡Gracias a Dios, esto no es lo único que hay! En ocasiones puede resultar difícil oír hablar de las cosas malas que suceden. Con solo andar por el pasillo de la escuela, puedes escuchar a otros estudiantes hablar mal unos de otros, o comentar sobre sus padres que se divorcian, o los puedes ver peleándose. ¡Es doloroso! Afortunadamente, tenemos por delante todo lo que hay en el cielo. Si comparamos el tiempo que pasamos aquí en la tierra (setenta y ocho años) al que estaremos con Jesús (la eternidad), esto hace que sea más fácil encarar las cosas difíciles.
Jesús también vivió tiempos difíciles. Se le acusó de todo tipo de cosas, fue traicionado por sus amigos y hasta lo mataron. Nos enfrentaremos a tiempos difíciles igual que él. Sin embargo, también experimentaremos todo lo bueno que viene de seguir a Jesús. Iremos al cielo, veremos a Jesús cara a cara y estaremos para siempre con nuestros amigos y familiares.
¡Por tanto, aunque aquí las cosas sean difíciles, recuerda que no es todo lo que hay!
Oración
Gracias, Señor, por el don maravilloso del cielo. Recuérdame ese regalo, cuando mi vida se ponga difícil.
Day 51 • Ever After
After this I looked, and I saw in heaven the temple—that is, the tabernacle of the covenant law—and it was opened … [The angels] were dressed in clean, shining linen and wore golden sashes around their chests.
(REVELATION 15:5–6)
This is not all there is—thank God! Sometimes it can be tough to hear about all the bad things that happen. Just walking down the hall at school, you might hear kids talking badly about one another, or you might hear about parents divorcing or fighting. It’s painful!
Thankfully, we have all of Heaven ahead of us. If we compare the time here on Earth (seventy to eighty years) to the time we will spend with Jesus (eternity), it makes the hard things a lot easier to deal with.
Jesus walked through hard times too. He was accused of all kinds of things, betrayed by his friends, and eventually killed. We will face hard times just like he did. But that means we will get to experience all the good that comes with following Jesus too. We’ll get to go to Heaven, see Jesus face-to-face, and spend forever with our friends and family.
So, even though it’s hard here, remember this is not all there is!
Prayer:
Thank you, God, for the wonderful gift of Heaven. Remind me of that gift when my life gets tough.
