El objetivo final del universo es mostrar la gloria de Dios. La gloria de Dios es el porqué de la existencia de todo, incluida tu persona. Dios hizo todo para su gloria. Sin la gloria de Dios, no habría nada.
¿Qué es la gloria de Dios? Es Dios. Es la esencia de su naturaleza, el peso de su importancia, el brillo de su esplendor, la demostración de su poder y la atmósfera de su presencia. La gloria de Dios es la expresión de su bondad y todas las demás cualidades intrínsecas y eternas de su persona.
¿Dónde está la gloria de Dios? Observa a tu alrededor. Todo lo que Dios creó refleja, de una u otra manera, su gloria. La vemos en todas partes: desde las formas de vida microscópicas más diminutas hasta la extensión de la Vía Láctea, desde los atardeceres y las estrellas hasta las tormentas y las cuatro estaciones. La creación revela la gloria de nuestro Creador. En la naturaleza aprendemos que Dios es poderoso, que disfruta de la variedad, ama la belleza, es organizado, sabio y creativo. La Biblia dice: «Los cielos cuentan la gloria de Dios».
A través de la historia, Dios ha revelado su gloria a personas en distintas circunstancias. Al principio la reveló en el jardín del Edén, luego a Moisés, después en el tabernáculo y el templo, más tarde por medio de Jesús, y ahora a través de la iglesia. Se presentó como fuego consumidor, una nube, truenos, humo y una luz brillante. En el cielo, la gloria de Dios proporciona toda la luz necesaria. La Biblia afirma: «La ciudad no necesita ni sol ni luna que la alumbren, porque la gloria de Dios la ilumina».
La gloria de Dios se ve mejor en Jesucristo. Él, la luz del mundo, ilumina la naturaleza de Dios. Gracias a Jesús, no estamos más en oscuridad con respecto a lo que Dios realmente es. La Escritura dice: «El Hijo es el resplandor de la gloria de Dios». Jesús vino al mundo para que pudiéramos entender cabalmente la gloria de Dios. Su Palabra declara que «aquel que es la Palabra se hizo hombre y vivió entre nosotros. Y hemos visto su gloria, la gloria que recibió del Padre, por ser su Hijo único, abundante en amor y verdad».

Vivir para la gloria de Dios es el mayor logro que podemos alcanzar en nuestra vida.
Day 7 – The Reason for Everything
Everything comes from God alone. Everything lives by his power, and everything is for his glory.

IT’S ALL FOR HIM.
The ultimate goal of the universe is to show the glory of God. It is the reason for everything that exists, including you. God made it all for his glory. Without God’s glory, there would be nothing. What is the glory of God? It is who God is. It is the essence of his nature, the weight of his importance, the radiance of his splendor, the demonstration of his power, and the atmosphere of his presence. God’s glory is the expression of his goodness and all his other intrinsic, eternal qualities.
Where is the glory of God? Just look around. Everything created by God reflects his glory in some way. We see it everywhere, from the smallest microscopic form of life to the vast Milky Way, from sunsets and stars to storms and seasons. Creation reveals our Creator’s glory. In nature we learn that God is powerful, that he enjoys variety, loves beauty, is organized, and is wise and creative. The Bible says, “The heavens declare the glory of God.”
Throughout history, God has revealed his glory to people in different settings. He revealed it first in the garden of Eden, then to Moses, then in the tabernacle and the temple, then through Jesus, and now through the church. It was portrayed as a consuming fire, a cloud, thunder, smoke, and a brilliant light. In heaven, God’s glory provides all the light needed. The Bible says, “The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light.”
God’s glory is best seen in Jesus Christ. He, the Light of the World, illuminates God’s nature. Because of Jesus, we are no longer in the dark about what God is really like. The Bible says, “The Son is the radiance of God’s glory.” Jesus came to earth so we could fully understand God’s glory. “The Word became human and lived among us. We saw his glory . . . a glory full of grace and truth.”

Living for God’s glory is the greatest achievement we can accomplish with our lives.
