Al ver la confianza de Pedro y de Juan [. . .] se maravillaban, y reconocían que ellos habían estado con Jesús.
HECHOS 4:13
Llenos del Espíritu Santo, Pedro y Juan habían estado ministrando poderosamente, proclamando la muerte y resurrección de Cristo. Era evidente que Dios actuaba a través de ellos, porque miles de almas se habían salvado y añadido al incipiente grupo de cristianos. Sin embargo, eso inquietó a los dirigentes religiosos judíos, que arrestaron a Pedro y a Juan, y los interrogaron sobre su labor.
Tal vez puedas imaginarte a Pedro y a Juan —dos rudos pescadores sin educación— de pie ante una sala llena de líderes religiosos altamente educados e influyentes. Tenían mucho espacio para sentirse inadecuados. Sin embargo, dieron testimonio de Jesús con firmeza, y el Señor brilló a través de ellos. Salieron del consejo asombrados por el poder de su mensaje. Y todo porque habían estado con Jesús.
El principio que vemos aquí sigue siendo válido hoy en día. Cuando hacemos del tiempo a solas con Cristo una prioridad, incide en todas y cada una de las facetas de nuestra vida. De hecho, es la comunión que tenemos con Jesús —meditando en su Palabra y buscando su rostro— lo que establece nuestra fructificación e influencia en el reino. No hay nada que nos dé más poder o nos eleve más que pasar tiempo con Él.
Oración:
Jesús, muéstrame tus caminos y enséñame, para que otros puedan ver que he estado contigo. Amén.
With Jesus
As they observed the confidence of Peter and John . . . they were amazed, and began to recognize them as having been with Jesus.
ACTS 4:13
Filled with the Holy Spirit, Peter and John had been ministering powerfully, proclaiming Christ’s death and resurrection. God was obviously at work through them because thousands of souls had been saved and added to the fledgling group of Christians. However, this made the Jewish religious rulers uneasy, so they arrested Peter and John and questioned them about their work.
Perhaps you can imagine Peter and John—two rough, uneducated fishermen—standing before a room full of highly educated and influential religious leaders. They had plenty of room to feel inadequate. Yet they testified about Jesus forcefully, and the Lord shone through them. They left the council amazed at the power of their message. And it was all because they had been with Jesus.
The principle we see here still holds true today. When we make time alone with Christ a priority, it affects every single facet of our lives. Indeed, it is the fellowship we have with Jesus—meditating on His Word and seeking His face—that establishes our fruitfulness and influence in the kingdom. There is nothing that empowers us or lifts us up more than spending time with Him.

Jesus, show me Your ways and teach me so that others may see I’ve been with You. Amen.
