JOSUÉ 11:8
Enfrentarse a las luchas en nuestras vidas es una tarea tan agotadora que a menudo preferimos tomar el camino más fácil de la retirada y la huida. Nos cansamos de librar las mismas viejas batallas que siempre nos dejan agotados y desanimados, así que optamos por evitarlas. Pero siguen asaltándonos.
Sin duda, este fue el caso de Israel. Cuando los espías informaron que la tierra de Canaán estaba llena de gigantes, el pueblo se negó a enfrentarse a ellos y a tomar la tierra que Dios les había prometido. Como resultado, vagaron por el desierto durante cuarenta años más.
No seas como ellos. Al contrario, sé como Josué y Caleb, que confiaron en que el Señor les daría la victoria en toda la tierra prometida. Y así fue. Al igual que Josué y Caleb, puedes enfrentarte a obstáculos abrumadores, ya sean espirituales, físicos, financieros o relacionales, pero debes mirarlos a través de los ojos de la fe. Concéntrate en el poder de Dios más que en el tamaño de tu adversario. Sí, los gigantes son grandes. Son más poderosos que tú, pero el Señor siempre es más grande. Así que enfréntalos con la sabiduría y la fuerza de tu Salvador, y Él te dará la victoria.

Jesús, ayúdame a enfrentarme a los gigantes de mi vida con tu fuerza y con tu sabiduría. Amén.
Face the Giants
The LORD delivered them into the hand of Israel, so that they defeated them. JOSHUA 11:8
Tackling the strife in our lives is such a wearisome task that we may often prefer to take the easier route of retreat and escape. We grow tired of fighting the same old battles that always leave us worn out and disheartened, so we choose to avoid them. And they continue to assail us.
Certainly, this was the case for Israel. When spies reported that the land of Canaan was full of giants, the people refused to face them and take the land God had promised them. As a result, they wandered the wilderness for forty more years.
Don’t be like them. Instead, be like Joshua and Caleb, who trusted that the Lord would give them victory throughout the land of promise. And He did. Like Joshua and Caleb, you may face overwhelming obstacles—whether spiritual, physical, financial, or relational—but you must look at them through the eyes of faith. Focus on the power of God rather than the size of your adversary. Yes, giants are big. They are mightier than you are, but the Lord is always greater still. So face them in the wisdom and strength of your Savior, and He will lead you to triumph over them.
Prayer:
Jesus, help me face the giants of my life in Your strength and with Your wisdom. Amen.
