Dios es amor, y el que permanece en amor permanece en Dios y Dios permanece en él.

Fuiste creado para amar y ser amado. El propósito de tu existencia va más allá de tu trabajo, tu familia y las tareas que realizas cada día. Más bien, fuiste formado por Dios para tener una relación plena y personal con Él, y para compartir su amor con los demás. En este mundo lleno de conflictos, ira, dolor y complicados problemas sociales, esta misión es importante y poderosa.
De hecho, cuando le preguntaron a Jesús cuál era el gran mandamiento, Él respondió: «AMARÁS AL SEÑOR TU DIOS CON TODO TU CORAZÓN, Y CON TODA TU ALMA, Y CON TODA TU MENTE. Este es el grande y primer mandamiento. Y el segundo es semejante a este: AMARÁS A TU PRÓJIMO COMO A TI MISMO» (Mateo 22:37-39). La respuesta de Jesús es clara: el sentido de nuestra existencia como creyentes es el amor.
Sin embargo, tienes que entender que tú no eres la fuente de ese amor. Es a medida que conoces al Señor y caminas con Él que te transforma, experimentas su amor y puedes cuidar de los demás con sabiduría y compasión. La fuente del amor es Dios mismo, Él es quien te capacita para representarlo ante los demás.

Jesús, ayúdame a conocerte y amarte más. Derrama tu amor a través de mí hacia otros. Amén.
Loving Others
God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
1 JOHN 4:16
You were created to love and be loved. Your purpose for existing goes beyond your job, family, and the tasks you accomplish each day. Rather, you were formed by God to have a fulfilling, personal relationship with Him and to share His love with others. In this world filled with conflict, anger, pain, and complicated social problems, this mission is both important and powerful.
In fact, when Jesus was asked about the greatest commandment, He replied, “ ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself’ ” (Matthew 22:37–39). Jesus’ answer is clear: the point of our existence as believers is love.
However, understand that you are not the source of this love. It is as you know the Lord and walk with Him that He transforms you, you experience His love, and you can care for others with wisdom and compassion. The source of love is God Himself, and He is the One who empowers you to represent Him to others.
Prayer:
Jesus, help me to know and love You more. Pour Your love through me to others. Amen.
