“Por tanto, no seáis insensatos, sino entendidos de cuál sea la voluntad del Señor” (Efesios 5:17 RVR1960).
“No os conforméis a este siglo, sino transformaos por medio de la renovación de vuestro entendimiento, para que comprobéis cuál sea la buena voluntad de Dios, agradable y perfecta” (Romanos 12:2 RVR1960).
• Significado: Hacer la Voluntad de Dios= “es una elección libre y voluntaria de la persona, de actuar conforme a la Voluntad Divina donándose a sí mismo a la causa de Dios. Es obedecer la dirección de Dios”.
• Puntos importantes:
• Dios permite que Su pueblo participe en el cumplimiento de Su voluntad. Él no nos llama para que seamos espectadores de Su trabajo, sino trabajadores con Él, siempre poniendo nuestro mejor esfuerzo (Éxodo 40:16).
• Cuando obedecemos la dirección de Dios, sabemos que nos encontramos dónde Dios quiere (Números 9:23).
• Dios cumple Su voluntad a través de las personas (Ester 4:13-14).
• Primero deberíamos buscar la dirección de Dios. Si meditamos continuamente en el Señor y en Sus enseñanzas acerca de cómo vivir, obtendremos sabiduría para tomar las decisiones correctas y vivir de la forma que Dios anhela (Salmos 16:7-8).
• Cuando oramos a Dios no le debemos exigir lo que nosotros queremos, sino que hablamos con Él sobre lo que Él quiere para nosotros. (1 Juan 5:14-15).
• Nuestro propósito como creyentes debe ser el mismo de Jesús: cumplir la voluntad de Dios (San Juan 6:37-38).
• Para llevar a cabo la voluntad de Dios necesitamos la dirección y el poder del Espíritu Santo. No deberíamos tratar de hacer la obra del Señor con nuestras propias fuerzas (San Juan 20:21-22).
Oremos:
Amantísimo Dios y Padre Celestial, venimos ante Ti primeramente dándote gracias, gracias por un día más ante Tu presencia, gracias por Tu amor, Tu fidelidad, Tu perdón y gran bondad. Hoy hemos aprendido cuán importante es seguir Tu hermosa voluntad, en ocasiones no entendemos, pero hoy te pedimos que sea Tu Espíritu Santo dirigiendo nuestra vida. Necesitamos de Su dirección para cumplir lo que Tú quieres en nosotros, bríndanos las fuerzas que necesitamos para seguir adelante, estamos en Tus manos. En el dulce nombre de Tu Hijo Amado, Jesús, amén.
Following the Will of God
“Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is” (Ephesians 5:17 KJV).
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God” (Romans 12:2 KJV).
• Meaning: Doing the Will of God= “is a free and voluntary choice of the person, to act in accordance with the Divine Will, donating oneself to the cause of God. It is obeying God’s direction.”
• Important points:
• God allows his people to participate in carrying out his will. He does not call us to be spectators of His work, but rather workers with Him, always doing our best (Exodus 40:16).
• When we obey God’s direction, we know we are where God wants us to be (Numbers 9:23).
• God fulfills his will through people (Esther 4: 13-14).
• We should first seek God’s direction. If we continually meditate on the Lord and his teachings about how to live, we will gain wisdom to make the right decisions and live the way God desires (Psalm 16:7-8).
• When we pray to God we should not demand what we want, but rather we talk to Him about what He wants for us. (1 John 5:14-15).
• Our purpose as believers must be the same as Jesus’: to fulfill the will of God (Saint John 6:37-38).
• To carry out God’s will we need the direction and power of the Holy Spirit. We should not try to do the Lord’s work in our own strength (John 20:21-22).
Let’s pray:
Dear God and Heavenly Father, we come before You first giving thanks, thanks for another day in Your presence, thanks for Your love, Your faithfulness, Your forgiveness and great goodness. Today we have learned how important it is to follow Your beautiful will, sometimes we do not understand, but today we ask You to be Your Holy Spirit directing our lives. We need his direction to fulfill what You want in us, give us the strength we need to move forward, we are in Your hands. In the sweet name of Your Beloved Son, Jesus, amen.
