Seguir a Dios no siempre es lo más popular. La gente te dirá que Él no es real y el mundo hará todo lo posible para que parezca todo menos bueno. ¿Pero puedo compartir contigo las mejores noticias del mundo?
¡Jesús es real y es tan bueno! Tú y yo vivimos en un mundo cubierto de oscuridad, no una oscuridad real, sino una oscuridad invisible que hace que sea difícil vivir en este mundo. Hace que las personas traten a los demás con crueldad, crea confusión acerca de Dios y permite que a las personas buenas les sucedan cosas malas. .
¿Alguna vez has estado en una habitación oscura y se encendió la luz de un teléfono celular o se encendió una vela? La luz resalta mucho más en la oscuridad. Ese es Jesús. Él es esta luz hermosa y brillante en un mundo de oscuridad. Él es el calor que titila en el frío. Él es el resplandor que ilumina tus pasos cuando las cosas se ponen difíciles.
¿Por qué seguir a Jesús? Porque Él es la luz, la bondad y el amor cuando todo lo demás es imperfecto y duro. Jesús puede calmar tus tormentas, reemplazar tu miedo con paz y darte fuerza para superar los días difíciles. Él te da esperanza, dirección y amor en un mundo que a menudo intenta quitarte todas esas cosas.
Para aquellos que siguen a Jesús, haciéndolo el número uno, ¡hay vida! Y eso significa dos cosas. Primero, Él te da un tiempo en la tierra lleno de paz y alegría, incluso cuando sientas miedo o las cosas no sean fáciles.
Segundo, Él te da vida después de la muerte. Verá, Jesús vino a la tierra y vivió una vida perfecta, luego murió en una cruz y resucitó. Él venció la muerte cuando volvió a la vida, ¡y lo hizo por ti! Y por eso, aquellos que siguen a Jesús con todo su corazón pasan para siempre en el cielo con Él cuando mueren.
Eres muy especial para Jesús y Él quiere una relación contigo. ¡Seguirlo es la mejor decisión que puedas tomar y te dará una vida mucho más dulce de lo que puedas imaginar!

ORACIÓN
Jesús, gracias por amarme tanto que moriste por mí. ¡Ese es el mejor amor del mundo! Y gracias por traer luz y bondad a este mundo oscuro y a mi vida. Quiero confiar en Ti con todo mi corazón; ¿Me ayudarás a hacer eso todos los días? Te amo y quiero seguirte solo. Amén.
Why Jesus?
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” JOHN 8:12 (ESV)
Following God isn’t always the most popular thing to do. People will tell you He isn’t real, and the world will do everything it can to make Him seem anything but good. But can I share with you the best news in the world?
Jesus is real, and He is so good! You and I live in a world that is covered in darkness—not actual darkness but an invisible one that makes this world difficult to live in. It makes people treat others unkindly, creates confusion about God, and allows bad things to happen to good people.
Have you ever been in a dark room and a cell phone light clicked on or a candle was lit? The light stands out so much more in the darkness. That’s Jesus. He is this beautiful, shining light in a world of darkness. He is the warmth flickering in the cold. He is the glow that lights your steps when things get hard.
Why follow Jesus? Because He is the light, goodness, and love when everything else is imperfect and hard. Jesus can calm your storms, replace your fear with peace, and give you strength to make it through the difficult days. He gives you hope, direction, and love in a world that often tries to take all those things away.
For those who follow Jesus—making Him number one—there is life! And that means two things. First, He gives you a time on earth filled with peace and joy, even when you feel scared or things aren’t easy.
Second, He gives you life after death. You see, Jesus came to earth and lived a perfect life, then died on a cross and rose again. He conquered death when He came back to life, and He did it for you! And because of that, those who follow Jesus with their whole heart get to spend forever in heaven with Him when they die.
You are very special to Jesus and He wants a relationship with you. Following Him is the best decision you can ever make, and it will give you a life so much sweeter than you can imagine!

PRAYER
Jesus, thank You for loving me so much that You died for me. That’s the best love in the world! And thank You for bringing light and goodness into this dark world and into my life. I want to trust You with all my heart; will You help me to do that every day? I love and want to follow You alone. Amen.
