La vida a menudo no acaba siendo como esperábamos. Cuando estamos atrapados en medio de circunstancias que nunca hubiéramos deseado, cuando se han perdido nuestros sueños y la esperanza se ha desvanecido, puede parecer imposible seguir adelante. Pero Dios da un propósito a nuestro dolor y nos infunde esperanza para seguir adelante.
Cuando parece que, más que descansar en él, lo que estamos haciendo es sobrevivir en él, Dios nos consuela con la promesa de que él completará la obra que empezó en nosotros y hará todas las cosas hermosas en el momento apropiado. Tenemos la bendición de poder abrazar todo lo que está pasando en nuestras vidas como parte de su plan, más que fiable, para glorificarse y conseguir materializar sus preciosas intenciones para nosotros.
Oración:
Dios, creo que me estás moldeando cada vez más a imagen de Jesús a través de las dolorosas circunstancias de mi vida. Espero y confío en tu promesa de que tú cumplirás tu propósito en mí.
Purpose to My Pain
The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O LORD, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands. PSALM 138:8 ESV
Life often doesn’t turn out the way we think it should. When we’re stuck in the midst of circumstances we never wanted—dreams lost and hope buried—it’s difficult to find meaning in it all, and it can seem impossible to keep going. But God gives purpose to our pain and hope to carry on.
When it feels a lot more like we’re surviving in him rather than actively abiding in him, he comforts us with the promise that he will complete the work he began in us, making all things beautiful in his time. We have the blessing of embracing all that is going on in our lives as part of his trustworthy plan to glorify himself and to accomplish his loving intentions for us.
Prayer:
God, I believe you are molding me more into the image of Jesus through the painful circumstances in my life. I hope and trust in your promise that you will fulfill your purpose in me.
