En el primer capítulo de Santiago el apóstol anima a los creyentes a darles la bienvenida a las dificultades, porque la prueba de su fe producirá paciencia. Y, cuando su paciencia madure, serán completos en Cristo, sin necesitar nada más. Santiago los anima a pedir sabiduría durante estos momentos complicados: Dios la concederá con generosidad.
En las temporadas de prueba necesitamos muchísima sabiduría divina, no solo para poder saber cómo superarlas, sino también para recibir consuelo, claridad mental y la capacidad de tomar decisiones sabias. Nuestra petición a Dios no debería ser necesariamente que nos quite las dificultades, sino que nos dé sabiduría para utilizarla correctamente. ¿Necesitas la sabiduría de Dios en este momento?
Pídesela. Él quiere que lo hagas. Y él ha prometido que te la dará a raudales.
Oración:
Señor, hoy necesito una gran dosis de sabiduría divina. No estoy segura de cómo sortear estas dificultades ni de cómo actuar con mi propio espíritu. Gracias porque tú me guiarás por este día, paso a paso.
The Wisdom Request
If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. JAMES 1:5 NIV
In the first chapter of James, the apostle encourages the believers to welcome troubles because the testing of their faith will grow endurance. And when their endurance reaches maturity, they will be entirely complete in Christ, needing nothing. James exhorts them to ask for wisdom during the difficulty and God will give it generously.
During periods of trial, our need for divine wisdom is great—not only to know how to navigate the details, but for comfort, mental clarity, and the ability to make wise choices. Our cry to God should not be necessarily for the removal of hardship, but for wisdom to make the right use of it. Are you in need of wisdom from God at this moment? Ask him. He wants you to. He has promised to give it unsparingly.
Prayer:
Lord, today I need a large dose of divine wisdom. I’m unsure as to how to manage my hardship as well as my own spirit. Thank you that you will guide me through this day one step at a time.
