Me gozo de que en todo tengo confianza en vosotros. 2 CORINTIOS 7:16 (RV60)
Hay algunas cosas en nuestras vidas que podemos colocar pulcramente en su cajita y organizar en compartimientos bien diferenciados entre sí. Sabemos cómo encaja cada una de estas cosas en nuestros planes. Pero hay otras cosas que, independientemente de lo mucho que intentemos dominarlas, nunca podremos tener completamente atadas. La vida y todas sus circunstancias imprevistas y caóticas nos puede dejar tendidas en el suelo y destrozar incluso los planes más perfectos. En un solo instante podemos perder el control que llevamos toda la vida intentando mantener.
Nunca podemos depositar la confianza en nuestra propia capacidad para mantener el control. Solo si tenemos una confianza completa en Dios y abandonamos nuestras propias ideas preconcebidas podremos tener un gozo real en esta vida. Intentar controlar lo incontrolable es tan agotador como imposible. Nunca podremos andar del todo en libertad si no rendimos nuestra necesidad de liberarnos a nosotros mismos.
Oración:
Dios, quiero el gozo y la libertad que tú me darás al depositar mi confianza completa y total en tu capacidad para encaminarme y dirigir el resultado de mi vida. Necesito que me guíes. No puedo tomar mis decisiones en esta vida sin ti.
Complete Confidence
I rejoice, because I have complete confidence in you. 2 CORINTHIANS 7:16 ESV
There are some things in our lives that we can put neatly into little boxes and organize into safely categorized compartments. We know how each of those things fits into our plans. But there are other things that no matter how hard we try to grab hold of, we can never fully regulate. Life, and all of its messy, unplanned circumstances can knock us right off our feet and disintegrate even the most perfectly laid plans. We can lose the control we spent our whole lives building in a single instant. We can never place our confidence in our own ability to maintain control. Only when we place our full trust in God, abandoning our own preconceptions, can we have true joy in this life. Attempting to control the uncontrollable is as exhausting as it is impossible. We will never fully walk in freedom until we give up the need to make ourselves free.
Prayer:
God, I want the joy and the freedom that comes with putting my complete and utter confidence in your ability to guide and direct the outcome of my life. I need you to lead me. I cannot make my decisions in this life without you.
