Lucas 24: 1-12
El primer día de la semana, muy temprano en la mañana, las mujeres tomaron las especias que habían preparado y fueron a la tumba. Encontraron la piedra rodada lejos de la tumba, pero cuando entraron, no encontraron el cuerpo del Señor Jesús. Mientras se preguntaban acerca de esto, de repente, dos hombres vestidos con ropa que brillaban como un rayo estaban de pie junto a ellos. En su miedo, las mujeres se inclinaron con la cara hacia el suelo, pero los hombres les dijeron: “¿Por qué buscan los vivos entre los muertos? Él no está aquí;
¡se ha levantado! Recuerda cómo te dijo, mientras aún estaba contigo en Galilea: “El Hijo del Hombre debe ser entregado a las manos de los pecadores, ser crucificado y al tercer día ser resucitado de nuevo”. Luego recordaron sus palabras. Cuando regresaron de la tumba, contaron todas estas cosas a los Once ya todos los demás. Fueron María Magdalena, Juana, María, la madre de Santiago, y las demás personas que se lo contaron a los apóstoles. Pero no creyeron a las mujeres, porque sus palabras les parecían una tontería. Pedro, sin embargo, se levantó y corrió hacia la tumba. Se agachó, vio las tiras de lino que yacían solas, y se fue, preguntándose qué había sucedido.
Romanos 6: 5-7
“Porque si hemos estado unidos con él en una muerte como la suya, ciertamente estaremos unidos con él en una resurrección como la suya. Sabemos que nuestro antiguo yo fue crucificado con él para que el cuerpo de pecado no pudiera ser destruido, de modo que ya no estaríamos esclavizados al pecado. Porque el que ha muerto ha sido libre del pecado”.
Puntos para aclarar:
¡ÉL HA RESUCITADO! ¡Jesús está vivo! La muerte es derrotada, y el pecado ya no tiene el poder de esclavizarnos. Nadie vio esto venir. A pesar de que había predicho claramente su muerte y resurrección, sus seguidores no podían comprender en sus mentes el milagro de la resurrección. El poder divino que resucitó a Jesús de la muerte fue tan impactante e improbable que incluso los discípulos lucharon por creerlo.
La resurrección de Jesús a la vida eterna aseguró nuestra libertad del pecado. Nuestro viejo yo murió con él y nuestro nuevo yo no puede ser limitado por el pecado o la muerte. Podemos conquistar el pecado en nuestras vidas ahora, y viviremos con él para siempre.

¿Recuerda un momento en que fue difícil confiar en el poder de Dios para hacer lo improbable en su vida? Recordando el poder de nuestro Señor resucitado, ¿qué puede creer en su vida que sanará, restaurará y redimirá? ¿Qué significa que estamos unidos a Jesús en su muerte?
¿Cómo la victoria de Jesús sobre el pecado y la muerte hace que nos liberemos del pecado y de la muerte?
Hable con cada miembro de la Trinidad: Dios el Padre, Jesucristo el Hijo y el Espíritu Santo, celebrando el amor de Dios. Maravíllese ante el milagro de la resurrección y verbalice su dependencia del Espíritu Santo que mora en nosotros.
Oración:
Padre, gracias por enviar a tu amado hijo a sufrir en mi lugar y librarme de las garras de la tumba. Gracias, Jesús, por tomar el castigo por mis pecados. La belleza de tu amor sacrificial ha detenido mi corazón. Te adoro – el Salvador resucitado. Espíritu Santo, ayúdame a no olvidar que tu mismo poder que resucitó a Jesús de entre los muertos está vivo en mí hoy y todos los días. Amén.
The resurrected
Luke 24:1-12
On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ ” Then they remembered his words.
When they came back from the tomb, they told all these things to the Eleven and to all the others. It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the others with them who told this to the apostles. But they did not believe the women, because their words seemed to them like nonsense. Peter, however, got up and ran to the tomb. Bending over, he saw the strips of linen lying by themselves, and he went away, wondering to himself what had happened.
Romans 6:5-7
For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with,[a] that we should no longer be slaves to sin— because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.
Points to clarify:
HE HAS RISEN! Jesus is alive! Death is defeated, and sin no longer has the power to enslave us. Nobody saw this coming. Even though he had clearly predicted his death and resurrection, his followers could not comprehend in their minds the miracle of the resurrection. The divine power that raised Jesus from the dead was so shocking and improbable that even the disciples struggled to believe it.
Jesus’ resurrection to eternal life secured our freedom from sin. Our old self died with him and our new self cannot be limited by sin or death. We can conquer sin in our lives now, and we will live with Him forever.

Do you remember a time when it was difficult to trust God’s power to do the improbable in your life? Remembering the power of our risen Lord, what can you believe in your life that he will heal, restore, and redeem? What does it mean that we are united with Jesus in his death?
How does Jesus’ victory over sin and death free us from sin and death?

Prayer:
Father, thank you for sending your beloved son to suffer in my place and deliver me from the clutches of the grave. Thank you, Jesus, for taking the punishment for my sins. The beauty of your sacrificial love has detained my heart. I adore you – the risen Saviour. Holy Spirit, help me not to forget that your same power that raised Jesus from the dead is alive in me today and every day. Amen.
