«¿Me quieres? [. . .] Apacienta Mis ovejas». JUAN 21:17
Cada uno de nosotros, en un momento u otro, ha hecho algo que ha ensombrecido nuestra relación con el Señor, y nos hemos sentido muy mal por ello. Ciertamente, ese fue el caso de Pedro. Podemos imaginar que después de negar a Jesús antes de la crucifixión y luego presenciar la resurrección, Pedro debió sentirse increíblemente indigno.
Sin embargo, cabe destacar que una de las últimas apariciones que Jesús hizo a sus discípulos fue junto al mar de Galilea, donde Pedro había vuelto a su antigua ocupación de pescador. Después de una comida de pescado a la parrilla, Jesús se llevó a Pedro aparte para restaurarlo. Pedro había negado tres veces a Jesús, así que le dio tres oportunidades para reafirmar su devoción. Pero Cristo también le enseñó al discípulo que el verdadero amor por Él no puede ser obstaculizado por el miedo: debe proceder en obediencia.
Puede que te estés preguntando si Dios te sigue aceptando después de tus fracasos. Por supuesto que sí. No solo te trae restauración, consuelo y sanidad, sino que también te desafía a avanzar en la fe dándote un ministerio que cumplir. ¿Lo amas? Entonces, como Pedro después de la resurrección, no tengas miedo. Sé valiente con tu amor por Jesús, arrepintiéndote y sirviendo a su pueblo.

Jesús, te amo y te obedeceré. Muéstrame cómo servir a tu pueblo. Amén.
Restoration to Ministry
“Do you love Me?. . Tend My sheep.”

Each of us at one time or another has done something to cast a shadow over our relationship with the Lord, and we’ve felt terrible about it. Peter certainly did. We can imagine that after denying Jesus before the crucifixion and then witnessing the resurrection, Peter must have felt in- credibly unworthy.
However, it is noteworthy that one of the last appearances Jesus made to His dis- ciples was along the Sea of Galilee, where Peter had returned to his former occu- pation of fishing. After a meal of grilled fish, Jesus took Peter aside to restore him Three times Peter had denied Jesus, so the Lord gave him three opportunities to re- state his devotion. But Christ also taught the disciple that real love for Him cannot be hindered by fear-it must proceed in obedience.
You may be struggling with whether God still accepts you after your failures He absolutely does. Not only does He bring you restoration, comfort, and healing, but He will also challenge you to advance in faith by giving you a ministry to accom- plish. Do you love Him? Then, like Peter after the resurrection, don’t be afraid. Be courageous in your love for Jesus by re- penting and serving His people.

Jesus, I do love You and will obey You. Show me how to serve Your people. Amen.
